  • "We were very impressed with Poppy Lodge it was spotlessly clean, well equipped and very comfortable."

The site was well maintained and clean. The owner provided tea, milk, coffe and biscuits which were very welcome after our journey. There are plenty of places to visit in the area. We found Cornwall to be a interesting county to visit.

  • "I rated cleanliness 3 simply because the frying pans had not been cleaned."

Apart from that the chalet was spotless. Directions to the site were not very clear, especially for someone who doesn't know the County and the Cornish roads, which are not well signposted nor numbered. It all added to the holiday ambience. A delightful stay which we would like to repeat.

Thank you for taking the time to leave very useful feedback. We have passed your comments about the frying pans to the cleaners. Property Owner

  • "Could not fault the accommodation even the nice gesture of tea coffee milk and biscuits on arrival ."

Our only complaint was the £204 booking fee which seems excessive as when we first looked at booking this property this wasn’t in the cost of the two weeks rental

Just a couple niggles blind in kitchen would not close and no blind in main bathroom Would definitely recommend as it was very peaceful

  • "Description said electric oven and induction hob but both were gas."

Oven and dishwasher both dirty with latter having a tea bag and jar lid inside. DVD left on side of tv and jacket left in cupboard. No bin bags or toilet rolls. Heating not working when we arrived. Need to say do not follow satnav as takes you down unmade roads

As the owners of Poppy Lodge we were very sorry that the cleaner responsible for two changeovers let us and the guests down so badly. However, we did come out on the Saturday evening to rectify matters and left feeling all was well. The central heating was working but had been switched off by the previous guests, we replaced missing toilet rolls and tea towels and offered to clean again. The cleaner has now been replaced by a much more thorough team and we are sorry things were not up to par and hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay. Property Owner

  • "We had trouble finding the place, The satnav took us through unmade roads."

We had to call the owners to locate the Lodge. The accommodation was supposed to have been cleaned to really CLEAN standards........the cooker hood was covered in grease and dust, the bin in the main bedroom still had waste items from previous occupier. We were particularly pleased with the kitchen, very nice units, fridge/freezer, plenty of utensils, however, lacking a cheese grater. There were items not usually in holiday accommodation, like, electric hand mixer and stick blender. The welcome tray was very welcome, especially after an 8hour car journey.
