The property

Poppy Lodge is a delightful lodge clad in wood on the exterior but fully insulated on the inside with plastered walls, double glazing, carpets and everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

Both bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms.

It is within the small and select Eden Valley Holiday Park at Lanlivery, near Lostwithiel, and is perfect for families or couples seeking a quieter location, close to nature.

The lodge is in a very attractive, rustic style on the outside but with everything you will need for a relaxing stay with a spacious lounge and dining area and separate kitchen.

The kitchen is completely new, along with new carpets and curtains, new mattrasses and updated bathrooms to make a very comfortable stay.

We offer free unlimited wifi throughougt your stay.

Two sets of French windows open on to the front veranda, which then also extends round the side of the lodge to another seating area, so there is a choice of places to enjoy an al-fresco breakfast or an evening glass of wine.

The new kitchen is very well equipped with hob and oven, built-in fridge-freezer and dishwasher, microwave oven and all cutlery, crockery and cooking implements.

We provide a small amount of kitchen necessities to get you started so please feel free to bring your favourites!

Leading from the kitchen is the dining area which seats four.

The sitting room has a 42″ Panasonic Plasma television equipped with HD Freesat and there is an HD Blu-Ray DVD player with a collection of films and a CD/Radio unit.

If you are with us during the chillier months there is an attractive electric fire as well as full central heating.

Both bedrooms are tastefully furnished with plentiful built-in cupboards and wardrobes to provide a wealth of storage space.

There is a dressing table and bedside units in both rooms and hairdryers are provided in both rooms.

All sheets, pillow cases, duvets and covers are provided as well as bath and hand towels.

The two ensuites haver both been improved and are again well equipped; one is a good sized bathroom, with bath featuring an overhead shower, toilet and basin.

The other is a shower room with a spacious cubicle, toilet and handbasin.

Again we provide a few bits (a loo roll and sachets of toiletries) but please bring your own soap/shower gel, beach towels and other bathroom necessities.

The local pub, The Crown, is one of the finest in the region and close byis the town of Lostwithiel which provides good shopping and plentiful pubs, restaurants and coffee shops and is known as the antiques capital of Cornwall with several shops, a fortnightly auction and a monthly antiques market.

Close by are two of Cornwall's finest attractions, the Eden Poject and the National Trust's Lanhydrock House.

A wealth of fine beaches are within a short drive so it all adds up to a superb location to enjoy the best of Cornwall.

LOSTWITHIEL

Bodmin 5.5 miles; Fowey 7 miles.

A delightfully peaceful country town, nestling in the Fowey river valley amid the woods and fields that characterise the area. Renowned as a centre for the antiques trade, there are several shops and dealers in the town, as well as a fine collection of country pubs, restaurants and a thriving farmer’s market. Lanhydrock House (NT) and gardens is just 3 miles away, while the fabulous Boconnoc House, Eden Project, shipwreck museum and tall ships harbour at Charlestown, and the picturesque fishing villages of Mevagissey, Fowey and Padstow, with the famous Rick Stein restaurants, are all within easy driving distance. The tumbling Atlantic surf, long sandy beaches and dramatic coastline of the north coast, including at the renowned Newquay, make for great days out and there is also chance to enjoy river canoeing, biking, hiking and leisurely walks in this lovely area. The friendly locals also have ongoing activities, such as the raft race, the famous tug of war, Carnival week and seagull outboard motor races. The river Fowey runs from the town on its 8 mile journey through the fields and wooded valleys to the gentler southern coast, a natural paradise for those who love the sea.
