Recycling approx 1 mile away from prperty. Views from bedrooms if you sat on floor. Swarms of flies hanging around front door. Unkempt garden. Lane leading to cottage had so many huge potholes making access only just managable. The cottage itself was gorgeous. Huge amount of dust under open stairs and the clean obviously never looks up due to the number of cobwebs.

I'm glad you and the majority of my guests think my cottage is gorgeous. I do too which is why I choose to let it and I value and act upon any constructive feedback that will help me improve it. One of its attractions for me is that, as indicated in the property description, it is situated on a working farm. The farmer is responsible for the upkeep of the farm track and it can sometimes be bumpy. The lawn is mowed weekly and the borders are attended to monthly. As a gardener I have chosen to pack my borders with plants and flowers that provide interest throughout the season rather than opting for a more low maintenance display. I apologise to those of you who consider the result to appear unkempt. There are three beautiful beaches that are approximately one mile's walk across fields from the cottage, slightly further if you choose to take the road. - Sykes owner relations

The property

Porthcurno 2 miles.

Perfectly located for enjoying the stunning far south west of Cornwall, this delightful cosy, yet spacious old granite cottage is situated on a working farm, set proudly near the coast, two miles from Porthcurno and close to Land’s End.

Close to four of Cornwall's most idyllic beaches, including one listed as Britain's best secret beach and the famous cliff-top Minack Theatre, this really is a special part of the world.

On arriving at the cottage, one of a small cluster of farm cottages you will sense the relaxing feel that this beautiful area exudes.

Parking directly outside this delightful cottage you pass through the garden before entering into the charming open plan living area with a cosy sitting area and a warming woodburning stove.

The three bedrooms are on the first floor all offering uninterrupted views over the unspoilt landscape.

A walk across the fields will take you to Porthcurno Bay, with its turquoise waters and golden rocks.

Situated to the west of the bay right on the cliffs is the world famous Minack Theatre, a wonderful open air theatre where between May and September performances both music and theatrical are regularly staged giving experiences that will be remembered forever.

For the adventurous if you are prepared to scramble down the cliff path you will be rewarded by the beach at Pedn Vounder, named by the Times as Britain's best secret beach.

Rarely crowded, even in high summer, the water here is crystal clear but care must be taken whilst swimming as the currents can be strong.

Also close by is the popular and stunningly beautiful Sennen Cove offering a large stretch of golden sand and waves that are perfect for surfing.

A holiday at Tyvounder whatever time of year will give you the opportunity of a holiday you will never forget in one of the most stunning corners of Britain.
