  • "Well located house, fantastic owners, who surprised us by providing Bread, Scones, Coffee & Tea."

Games room is excellent for the kids. The house is lovely, however it needs some updates to the furniture. The living room chairs were uncomfortable. That aside thank you we had a great time. Extra thanks to the owners who rescued us on day 1 when one of our kids broke a key in a lock.

  • "Really nice house that was suitable for our holiday needs."

We initially had a slight issue finding the house as the sat-nav took us past the house and in a road behind it. Because the house is set back slightly it was easily missed. When we arrived it was very nice to find milk, bread, tea & coffee and scones with jam and clotted cream. That was a very nice touch and really appreciated. Everything was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the games room in the evenings and the kitchen was functional and had everything we needed. Beds were comforatable and we had a very relaxing break. The property is a great base to explore Cornwall.

  • "Polgooth is a delightful, quiet, peaceful village, with a good shop and an excellent pub."

I tried to book in Mevagissey, but i'm really glad I couldn't. I think Polgooth suited us much better. Inland Cottage is a comfortable old house full of character. The garden is not suitable for unsupervised young children, but ours (youngest 9) had a wonderful time in it. They were also thrilled to bits by the games room - a perfect place for young people even if it rains, which it didn't. All the Cornish coast is easily reachable. I should like to go back.

About the location

POLGOOTH

Mevagissey 5 miles; St. Mawes 18 miles; Truro 14 miles.

With its history rooted firmly in tin mining, the village of Polgooth is now a quiet settlement on the outskirts of St Austell, frequented by visitors enjoying the area's outstanding countryside. Just 3 miles from the sea, the village is close to several lovely beaches, and the south-west coastal path also runs close by. The area has a host of visitor attractions, with the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Tall Ships Harbour at Charlestown all within a 15 minute drive. The quaint fishing harbour at Mevagissey, with its passenger ferry across the bay to Fowey, is just 5 miles away, and the beautiful Roseland Peninsula with the villages of St. Mawes and St. Just-in-Roseland lies just a little further. Enjoy a coastal walk and take in the wonderful views, spend a day on the beach, or visit one of the numerous attractions close by. A fantastic location, any time of the year.
