  • "This was such a perfect location to visit all of Cornwall."

Just a couple of roads away from the A30 meant we could hop on and visit anywhere we liked with ease. The house itself had everything we needed and more, the owners were so kind and on hand whenever we needed anything. We were all at ease and felt at home from the minute we arrived, until we left. Thank you all for our wonderful holiday, we will be back.

The owners were welcoming with their greeting and the cream tea❤️ very good value for money and would highly recommend. Sykes, however, bombard you with messages..."don't forget this" "don't forget that" " how was your first night" "don't forget to leave it clean" "how was your holiday?" That, added to the extortionate fees I've just realised we pay to book through them ,makes me inclined not to go down the Sykes route again☹️

It literally had everything we could need (only item we missed was a pizza cutter... but there were knives instead haha) The owners were lovely and friendly. Especially loved the supply of games, books and dvds. Honestly, we could have visited with 50% less stuff! Thanks so much for having us!

  • "Good location for mid Cornwall, roughly in between both coasts and next to Bodmin Moor."

Perinporth and Bude beaches easily drivable from there. Wagon house was compact but ample as base for two of us and large Newfoundland dog, with nice cool floor for him to lay on. Both bedrooms and bathroom had opening Velux windows which made it cool and fresh even though very hot outside. All usual household facilities, iron etc. Fridge and seperate freezer in well equipped kitchen, no dishwasher but not a problem for us. Friendly owners on-site, which is down country lane but only about a minute to main road and A30. Great info folder in property wi on places to go and beaches. Thoroughly recommend this place, larger cottages also on same site. One of best places we have ever stayed at in Cornwall.

  • "Cleaning appears to be left to previous occupancy, without appropriate check by owners?"

Jam on table cloth, clothing in drawers, spiders and established webs in 2 rooms. Sky lights in need of replacement. Flaking paint within recess and condensation to bathroom (extractor was activated), smaller bedroom inparticular had heavy condensation. Lounge sofa and sofa bed are in dire need of replacement. Sitting on sofa bed then standing up will demonstrate how far the seating cushions have/remain sunken.

We are sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. Our cleaner was new and I personally fixed some cleaning issues but I must have missed some. I do apologise. New Sofas have been on order for a while now but delivery times are very long, I would hope they arrive soon. As this is an old cottage with 3 solid stone external walls the humidity does become a problem if all the heating is left on high and windows are shut. We do have a dehumidifier which could have been made available on request. Property Owner

  • "Very enjoyable base for us in Cornwall."

Easy access to the main road and we managed to visit many places during our weeks stay. The cottage is lovely and very well equipped, but I did miss the dishwasher although I understand their wasn't any room for one. We enjoyed the garden and pond in the sunshine. Friendly owners who were happy to chat and the cream tea on arrival went down very well. We booked quite late and were limited on our property search due to Covid. We feel lucky that we came across this lovely place I did miss taking a walk to the shop but with this virus still around it is perfect to keep yourself safe and escape from the throng of people. Would happily recommended and revisit

  • "Very small there’s no way 4 people would be comfortable 2 people were ok ."

Website states the pub is 1.5 miles away the nearest pub is 4.5 miles it’s called kings head inn and the countryman pub that’s advertised is more like 6.8 miles and when we arrived it was and has been closed for sometime it maybe an idea to update your website to save time travelling to places . Could do with some updating and looking at the random slugs that appear all over the place even found one cooked to the side of the kettle they could invest in slug pellets or whatever you use to get rid of the slimey things , they must have super slugs in Devon because every morning slime cover the larger bedroom floor . Wallpaer peeling off of bedroom walls and quite a bit of damp in the corner of the room . Trying to open and close the window was awkward with the stick left there and pulling the blind down with it just impossible had to stand on a stool .We knew it was remote but getting in and out of the lane was a challenge very long lane with no pull ins so you are backwards and forwards trying to get through and it’s quite a busy lane and people drive very fast down it really quite scary

Dear guest, Were very sorry that your holiday did not live up to your expectations. The vast majority of our guests enjoy their stay at Trevosper Barn Cottages. As mentioned at your arrival at the cottage, we always prefer to hear about any issues or concerns as they occur and not until after your departure. This would have allowed us to help, e.g. give you some slug pellets and point out the 2 nearest pubs. As this didn't happen, we can only assure you that we willll turn any reasonable feedback into actionable improvements for future guests, wherever that's possible. We apologize for any inconvenience caused during your stay and wish you the best in the future Property Owner

  • "Fantastic location ideal for sightseeing around the North Cornish coast and visiting local areas of interest."

The cottage met our needs as we are 3 people and this fitting perfectly with the layout. The kitchen was suitably kitted out with essential needs for self catering. I needed WIFI to do some work mid-week and there were no problems with internet connection. We were warm enough and all the storage heaters worked. We were able to use the facilities in the conservatory area e.g. washing machine and tumble drier which was necessary as we were walking and had a dog - so all of us were muddy. The information booklets were accurate - though we would have like a map showing where all the ideas and recommendations were in relation to the cottage. We were made to feel very welcome with the cream tea provided on arrival - which really was a lovely thought and touch after a long drive. The only thing missing for us was a bit more hanging and drying space or even a rack in the convservatory with warm air to dry our wet suits and store them .

We were greeted by a cream tea on arrival and set about that very soon after getting our bags in ... lush. The view is beautiful and so peaceful. Ulli, Loraine and Cooper made us most welcome. We spent every day out and about so didn't really have time to sit about the garden, but the first evening we had a spell in it before sundown, most restful. We wouldn't book this cottage again unless it was just myself and my husband as it was too small for our party that included my dad after my mum passed away and our 2 dogs and us. There are only 2 sofas and they were both very old and uncomfortable. The kitchen was so tiny that nothing was where we expected it........the cutlery was on the other side of the kitchen above the freezer, not near the plates etc. This cottage is ideal for a couple and 1 child but no more. The property did have some dust but I'm very picky as I'm a private 6 star housekeeper. The cream tea that was waiting for us when we arrived was delicious and a lovely touch. The cottage is in a lovely location and we found it easy to get to lots of interesting places. There was lots of information in the cottage too including dog friendly beach recomendations.

An attractive group containing three stone cottages and a barn conversion, in a countryside setting with fabulous views over the fields from the garden. The cottages are next to each other in a courtyard and lie within the hamlet of Polyphant. The owners also live within the courtyard in a converted farmhouse. This is a quiet, peaceful rural location, 5 miles west of the historic town of Launceston but within minutes of the main A30 route through Cornwall. The large, half-acre communal garden outside these Launceston cottages backs onto open countryside, and has a conservatory overlooking the wildlife pond; visitors can enjoy some quiet time here, with the added benefit of a small library of books and coffee-making facilities. There are some fabulous traditional pubs nearby, most of which are child-friendly and many of which accept dogs. The nearest to these Launceston cottages is only 1.5 miles away. This group of Launceston cottages are in an ideal location for exploring a whole range of pursuits, especially the dramatic North Cornwall coastline, including Widemouth Bay, which is particularly good for surfing, rock pools and beach games and is also dog-friendly. Walkers are spoilt for choice, with Bodmin Moor on the doorstep, dominated by dramatic granite tors which tower over the sweeping expanses of open moorland. Why not take a family cycle ride along the gentle reaches of the nearby Camel Trail, a traffic-free route following the course of the river through woodland and moorland? These Launceston cottages offer a great base to explore and unwind together.
