  • "A perfect little property for a family stay in Polzeath."

The bungalow was a little dated and worn and would have benefited from slight upgrade in decor. The kickboards in kitchen were loose and falling off which made it look a bit shabby and the kitchen bin had no lid so meant smells were more likely. There were also lots of spiders hiding in corners which the cleaners could remove. Also, the front door felt flimsy and easy to open. However, the lovely bathroom and shower and the crisp white and comfortable bedding made up for any of the shortfalls.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay and the bathroom and bedding helped make it a more pleasant experience. Thank you for highlighting the cleanliness and maintenance issues, we will raise this with the cleaning company. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "Had a good holiday at Northern Lights."

There were six people in our group, my wife and myself, our two children and their spouses and our grandchild of one year old. We found the accommodation rather small, especially the two bedrooms with single beds. The mattress under the window in one bedroom had seen better days. The bathroom was lovely, an additional loo would be beneficial. We found the outside shower was either too hot, or cold, could not get the correct temperature on it. Facilities were good, as was the location.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by these issues. Your comments have been passed on to the team here at John Bray Cornish Holidays and to the owner. We hope you still managed to enjoy your visit despite these issues and would love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. • "Absolutely lovely cottage."

We loved the eclectic restored items and the real feel of a family holiday home. It was Immaculately clean and lovely and warm (March). We know the street well and it is perfectly located. I took my 3 surfer teenagers, including twins for their 16th birthday weekend (4 of us). The only thing I’d change is that with 3 bedrooms, potentially 6 people, you really need a second bathroom or at least a second loo. The laundry room at the back of the house might offer potential for this.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and would love to welcome you back anytime in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

Set out for the day and be sure to make a stop at the nearby Oystercatcher pub for a tasty bite to eat, here you can expect fresh seafood and a relaxed dining experience with the option of alfresco, perfect for those evenings when you’d rather skip the kitchen.

Be sure to make time for a visit to Padstow by taking the foot ferry across from Rock, home to the National Lobster Hatchery with the option to adopt your own hatchling, along with a picturesque harbour and the well-known Camel Trail, a cyclist's haven.

Head inland to explore the National Trust property Landhyrock, Cardinham Woods and Bodmin Moor which are fantastic for family days out or couples to discover together.
