The property

This impressive detached house in Port Isaac sits peacefully at the end of a no-through road with sensational views out to sea and along the stunning coastline.

Unusual for Port Isaac, this modern detached home has ample off road parking and provides all-year-round, top notch accommodation for families in this very special part of north Cornwall.

On the ground floor, a stylish, split-level open plan, L-shaped living room and dining area with huge glazed doors that fold back to access a patio for those fantastic views and sea breezes.

You can also enjoy those views whilst preparing meals in the well-appointed, fitted kitchen with lovely granite worktops located two steps up from the living/dining area.

You’ve also a cosy snug area for relaxing and watching TV or your favourite film.

Upstairs, four comfortable bedrooms, two doubles, one with a balcony but both with en suite shower rooms and those views, a further double, a twin with garden views plus a family bathroom.

Outside, and amazingly for this village, is ample off road parking and a big, sheltered, tree-shaded garden at the front, with a neat, terraced, sea-facing garden at the back offering those stunning views and plenty of space for sunbathing on sunny days (with useful sheltered spots).

Youngsters can let off steam in the well-equipped games room with table tennis, table football, toy box and comfy sofa.

Port Isaac’s fine array of pubs, cafes and restaurants, including two owned by Nathan Outlaw - one the 2018 Good Food Guide's top restaurant – are a short stroll away, whilst the harbour front plays host to regular gigs by the world famous Fisherman's Friends shanty singers, who entertain regularly throughout the year.

There are splendid walks along the Coast Path to many delightful coves including Port Gaverne less than ½ mile away, the fjord-like Port Quin and splendid surf sand beach at Polzeath.

There’s water bound adventures to be had at Rock just five miles along the coast, where you'll find a sailing school and water sports centre.

This is an impressive and massively convenient house with ‘to die for views’ for families throughout the year on a fascinating and stunning stretch of Cornish coastline.

Four bedrooms: a king size double with en suite shower room with shower, basin and WC, a double (super king size zip-linked bed or twin) with en suite shower room with shower, basin and WC, a twin and another double plus a family bathroom with bath, hand-shower, separate shower cubicle, basin and WC. Ground floor WC and basin. Split level sitting room with dining area. Kitchen. Snug. Games room.

About the location

Polzeath 6 miles; Padstow 9 miles

Port Isaac, one of the undiscovered treasures of Cornwall. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village or on the beach during the times displayed.
