A really magical holiday destination. The only niggle is the lack of linens , particularly bath mats, tee towels and hand towels! All fairly basic and essential. Reviewed by ClairMay 2022 "Fantastic location and beautiful house." On arrival, the house did not seem well cleaned. Surfaces were dusty and sticky and the windows filthy. The kitchen utensils and appliances weren’t great, and we had issues with the washer/dryer, which Sykes responded to promptly. The house did seem very cold in areas. It would have been lovely if there the house had provided some essentials in the kitchen for the arrival of guests, like coffee, tea, a bundle of logs for the fire and some basic condiments and necessities when guests arrive after long trips and are not familiar with the area. Folly 1 was otherwise, despite these things one of the most cherished memories I will ever have. The location was stunning, Thank you. Reviewed by JoMar 2022 "The fact that this was our third stay in the house says it all, it's the perfect location, the views are wonderful and the spacious, beautifully decorated cottage has everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing break." Reviewed by DenisNov 2021 "Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - the location is great with stunning views to wake up to!" The layout of the house was great for our family and we can't wait to return. Reviewed by EmmaOct 2021 "We know the property well and it suits our needs completely" Reviewed by TimOct 2021 "The Folly 1 was first class." Beds and seating were comfortable, everything was top quality, no expense spared. We had a water leak in the kitchen but this was reported and a plumber was sent promptly. Only con was having to get out by 9am on day of departure, as the beds had to be stripped (linen not provided) and the house left as we found it. Reviewed by DeniseSep 2021 "Had a wonderful stay, house is gorgeous and the view is amazing." Only thing it would have been nice to have a BBQ facility.
