  • "We liked living near the beach and being able to go there whenever we wanted."

The house was as described, we enjoyed the space and there was plenty of hot water. The only issues we had were that the porch door was warped and very difficult to open and neither of our cars could use the drive as it was too steep. Overall we would definitely come back.

Thank you so much for your kind words. It's great to hear that you had such a fabulous stay and had the perfect base to explore the local area from. Our apologies for the issue with the door, we will report this to our in house maintenance team - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "The property was lovely and had everything that we needed."

However more warning about the parking would be better my estate car could not fit on the drive and it’s very very steep to get traction. Otherwise the stay was lovely.

We are pleased to hear you had such a great stay and enjoyed the property. We are sorry for any problems accessing the drive, it is not something that has been highlighted before. We do hope that we get the opportunity to welcome you back to Cornwall in the future. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "Absolutely loved staying here."

Really well equipped property enabled us to feel at home straight away. Fabulous location. Well kept, spotlessly clean. Beautiful views. Would love to return. Spacious and well thought out layout made it possible to be with family but have that little bit of space too. Thank you for an amazing stay. Highly recommend.

  • "We loved Harewood, very comfortable and clean home for our family stay."

There was everything there that we needed and we would highly recommend. As mentioned in the details parking may not be suitable for all cars and was an issue for one of our cars but the second car was able to park up. One or two notes for the caretakers of this lovely property would be: curtain rails in main lounge area need small rings reattaching so curtains can be hung properly. Rug under table proved to be quite slippy for both the children and the dog in our group. Mirror in double bedroom was cracked and does need replacing. Instructions for using the washer/dryer would have been helpful as would available spare batteries, we had to replace tv remote control batteries. Would like to see mentioned in the read up about the stairs/steps by the family bathroom as these were a little bit of a worry for the young children in our group, should they need to get up in the night. None of the above spoiled our stay though, just thought caretaker should know. Would definitely stay again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay at Harewood and appreciate the constructive comments for for caretaking team to have a look at. We do hope that we get the opportunity to welcome you back to Cornwall in the future. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "Comfortable and well appointed cottage."

Very disappointed that the second shower wasn't working. John Bray had clearly been informed of this previously and it would have been courteous to have informed me before my visit in case someone in the party had to have a walk in shower.

It is great to hear that you liked the location of the cottage and found the furnishing comfortable. With the advantage of private parking for more than one car, Harewood is set over three floors and sleeps up to six guests in three bedrooms with two bathrooms.

Enter the property to discover a bright sitting room with plush sofas surrounding a large stone fireplace with woodburning stove – a perfect spot to sit on chilly evenings and warm up in front of the fire.

The colourful kitchen is well-designed with everything you might need to create amazing meals during your stay.

The large conservatory is a wonderful sun trap and is an ideal place to eat your evening meal or rest in the armchairs with a good book and a glass of wine.

There are two bedrooms on the first-floor: a double with views across the harbour to Lobber Point and a twin room, as well as a family bathroom.

Continue up the stairs to find the spectacular master bedroom and dressing/sitting area, which has lots of character from the exposed wooden ceiling beams.

Open the conservatory doors and follow the steps up to a raised terraced area, where you can enjoy a nice meal in the sunshine, and an enclosed lawned garden – perfect for the family dog!

A short stroll through the village will take down narrow streets lined with shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants.

The harbour at Port Isaac offers a safe rock-pooling and paddling beach for youngsters, but stronger swimmers may want to head next door to Port Gaverne for swimming or coasteering.

Further down the coast at Polzeath Beach and Fistral Beach you will find some of the best surfing conditions in the UK and plenty of companies who provide lessons and all the necessary equipment.

Explore everything that North Cornwall has to offer from your base at Harewood.
