“Very good being one of only a few cottages in the village that had a garage for off road parking very close by”

The property

Tucked away in a quiet spot at the top of Port Isaac, Penventon is perfect for escaping the crowds, whilst still being just a stroll up the hill from the village centre.

With private parking, an enclosed garden, and wonderful views, Penventon is a perfect choice for a small family or a couple wanting a romantic trip away.

Enter this detached bungalow to find a welcoming dining room that leads into a well-equipped kitchen with plenty of space to prepare meals, and lovely views of the garden.

In the daytime sit in the sunroom soaking up the natural light that floods in from the windows and when it gets late you can move into the sitting room, light the woodburning stove and settle down with a good book.

There are two bedrooms off the hallway: a king-size room with access to the sunroom and views of the countryside, and a twin/super-king with views out to the garden.

The enclosed garden is ideal for a family with young children and has a patio area with picnic benches as well as patio table and chairs for al fresco dining.

Your walk down from the cottage to the harbour will take you down narrow winding streets filled with cafes, shops, galleries, and restaurants.

The South West Coast Path runs along the coast from Port Isaac in both directions and is a fantastic walking route offering stunning views of the sea and coast, as well as the opportunity to spot rare birds and sea life.

If you are looking for a fun day out close by then why not head to Newquay, home to Newquay Zoo, the Blue Reef Aquarium, and Fistral Beach, where you can have a go at learning to surf.

You won’t be short of things to enjoy during your stay at Penventon.

About the location

Polzeath 6 miles; Padstow 9 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
