About the property

In the heart of Port Isaac, in North Cornwall, close to the old harbour, is the quaint Quay Cottage.

Sleeping up to five guests, with three bedrooms, Quay Cottage is a perfect choice for a relaxing holiday on the Cornish coast.

Coming with private parking in a garage at the top of the village, it is a short stroll down to the cottage where you will enter to find a cosy sitting room with exposed beams and woodburning stove.

The kitchen is well-equipped with everything necessary to rustle up some gourmet meals for the family, the dining room will comfortably accommodate five guests around the table, and a handy utility room has space to wash and dry clothes.

Head outside to the beautiful courtyard garden, which has colourful plants, and a table for al-fresco dining, as well as access to a shower room, and an annexe which can be used a sitting room or games room for children.

The property has three bedrooms: a twin room and a single room on the first floor, and a very large double room on the second floor that enjoys magnificent views of the harbour and sea.

Port Isaac is a charming fishing village that centres around the picturesque harbour.

Viewers of the TV series, Doc Martin, will recognise it as the fictional village of Portwenn, and fans can discover all the locations, buildings, and history of the show by taking a Doc Martin tour.

Nearby attractions include the National Lobster Hatchery in Padstow, a marine conservation and visitor-centre; Prideaux Place, a grade I listed country house with fine collection of art of furniture; and fantastic beaches at Newquay and Polzeath for swimming and surfing.

Discover the beauty and adventure of Cornwall during your stay at Quay Cottage.

About the location

Polzeath 6 miles; Padstow 9 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
