The property

The Fo'c'sle is a traditional fisherman’s cottage located in the village of Port Isaac, North Cornwall, just a minute’s walk from the idyllic harbour.

Charming and atmospheric, this dog-friendly property provides a cosy, tranquil haven for a couple or family of four.

From Church Hill, feel instantly relaxed as you access the property via the first floor directly into the cosy lounge, inviting you to kick-back and unwind, with plush sofas, a TV, and exposed beam vaulted ceilings.

The lounge leads off to two comfortable bedrooms where you can wake feeling well rested and ready to explore. Amble downstairs to the light and bright open-plan kitchen and dining room that also features exposed beams and coastal décor – a great space to enjoy family time cooking and dining together.

Also on this floor is a refurbished shower room. From the kitchen, take the few steps down to a patio garden with deck chairs and a picnic bench and sip your evening cocktails or dine alfresco in the warm Cornish sunshine, after a day on the beach. With the wild and rugged coastline just a short stroll away, and Port Isaac’s wonderful community spirit that exudes throughout the village, this is a lovely abode for a Cornish getaway.

In Port Isaac, you’ll find yourself exploring the harbour, beach, famous filming locations, shops and bustling eateries, as well as ample trails along the South West Coast Path. North Cornwall has so much to offer, so when you want to explore further afield for a day of surfing and sandcastles, head to Polzeath Beach (6 miles) for low tide when the shore reveals a beautiful sandy bay.

The Fo’c’sle is a lovely cottage for a romantic break or family holiday by the seaside, with so much to see and do near the property.

About the location

Polzeath 6 miles; Padstow 9 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village.
