“Great cottage/bungalow very clean a lot larger than it looks like on the photos, only one thing to niggle about is the three seater sofa has lost its spring and sags when seated on.”

The property

This large, comfortable, detached bungalow sits just half a mile up from Port Isaac’s picture-postcard harbour.

Surrounded by mostly lawned garden and with lovely long views over meadows to the coast, this holiday home is also suitable for wheelchair users (please discuss your requirements with us before booking).

Relax and warm your toes by the wood burning stove in the cosy sitting room before gathering round the table for supper in the well-equipped open plan kitchen with dining area, from which patio doors lead to the garden.

Three comfortable bedrooms – a double with en suite shower room, a twin and a single and a family bathroom complete the accommodation in this convenient holiday home.

Outside, a large mostly lawned garden surrounds the bungalow and there’s handy storage space for your surfboards and bicycles in the garage.

The village’s fine restaurants (Nathan Outlaw, one of the West Country’s leading chefs, has two restaurants here), shops and pubs are just a steady stroll via footpath from Two Acres.

This exceptionally pretty fishing village is the setting for the ever popular ‘Doc Martin’ TV series and also hosts the world famous Fisherman's Friends shanty singers on many a fine summer evening.

There are rocky coves to explore at Port Quin and Port Gaverne, just a short hop along the coast, but if you prefer high adrenaline pastimes, head for the splendid surf beach at Polzeath and the water sports at Rock.

Superbly located for exploring this delightfully pretty fishing village and the spectacular coastal walking, Two Acres is a cosy retreat to return to after a day’s adventures.

About the location

Polzeath 6 miles; Padstow 9 miles

Port Isaac, one of the undiscovered treasures of Cornwall. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. Only ten minutes drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike. There is ample parking at the top of the village or on the beach during the times displayed.
