  • "Fabulous location and well presented property."

    Thank you for the cream tea waiting on arrival. The main reasons for not giving maximum ratings are: - couldn't open window in double bedroom and couldn't sleep with noisy fan on which was the alternative provided. Catch on one of the front windows was broken. -Asked for twin room to be set up as a super king size bed by phoning Sykes the week before but this wasn't done. -We couldn't identify the shared paved seating area mentioned (perhaps a map would help!), and were disappointed an area wasn't accessible directly from the apartment. All paved areas were next to other apartments patio doors and windows and to reach the outside you had to go into the shared foyer and down external steps. We found the picnic area across the car park which was nice to sit in with a book and drink but it was too far to bother taking our meals over there. The views from the property were fantastic, and it is less than 5 minutes from the Minack and very convenient for the cove and open top bus stop.

    We loved the property and the location Disappointed that the persistent vibration from the hot water pipe wasn't fixed even though we reported it straight away Had to leave the hot tap dripping in the kitchen to fix this One of the sofas in living room was very uncomfortable Tap in ensuite very difficult to operate Other than that great stay - thank you

    Thank you for your feedback. There was a build up of the pressure in the boiler and the quick and easy solution was to run the hot water taps and turn the heating off. You were advised to keep the tap dripping to stop the noise, and were happy with this resolution.   • "What a beautiful flat,absolutely perfect for us."

    We were very grateful that the owner let us in 2 hours earlier,that was really helpful. Then to walk in to a nice welcome pack was a nice surprise,the views are stunning. The whole flat is so well equipped,everything you could possibly ask for. Tv was a great size and nice to have the BT package. The only complaint I would have is one of the settees I think is a sofa bed and not at all comfortable to sit on,also I think more than one dishwasher tablet would be more helpful.Apart from those two minor things it was fantastic and I would recommend to anyone.

  • "Very clean and welcoming."

    The property was lovely and warm when we arrived and the view from the window is spectacular!! The cream tea on arrival and the milk in the fridge was a lovely touch. Just a small issue, the kitchen cupboards were all full so there was nowhere to put the little bit of food we brought with us. This didn't affect our stay at all though

    Thank you for this useful feedback. That would have annoyed me on arrival at a holiday cottage too. We have just popped down to the property and reorganised/updated the kitchen cupboards and their contents so there should be plenty of room for food storage. Thank you for the nudge to do so.   • "The apartment felt extremely inviting, very clean and well organised with all the desired facilities."

    You can sit at one of the large windows that span the whole side of one wall of the lounge / diner and marvel at the views across Porthcurno Bay to the famous “Logan’s Rock”. Allocated Car parking for 2 cars is a bonus and literally only a few yards level walk from the apartment. Porthcurno Beach is only a 5 minutes stroll down the hill and the famous Minack Theatre likewise just up around the corner. Location alone makes this Apartment choice a Winner !

  • "The Beachcomber is a beautiful flat with excellent views and generous supplies which makes it easy to keep clean."

    We were performing in a show at the Minack theatre and it is in an ideal spot to walk up the hill. The only criticism we have is that we were unable to open the bedroom windows. The locks seem to be missing. If this is a security issue then I understand but if it had been really hot it would have been stifling! Having said that we would definitely book again.

The small village of Porthcurno is situated four miles from Land’s End on the south coast of West Cornwall. The village has a sandy beach, a café, a restaurant that’s open during the summer season and cliff-top and coastal walks. Porthcurno is also home to the Museum of Global Communications, where you can learn about the underwater cables that connected the village to various places around the world.
