"On arrival it was a struggle to open the main door."
When entering we had noticed lack of cleanliness windows were all smudged and marked mirrors were also dirty too, cobwebs found everywhere. The downstairs toilet light was constantly flickering when using it. The upstairs landing light also flickered, the master bedroom main light was not working at all (but got replaced when got in touch with maintenance), the main bathroom had broken floor tiles, the second set of double doors in the living area was a wrestling match to open close and lock so we didnt open them again, there was a chip on the hob in the kitchen, all the lamp shades need cleaning or replacing as they were dirty, the hot tub cover was covered in bird droppings which had not been cleaned in a while, they had used slate surroundings the area so be aware that you'll need some foot wear getting in and out of the hot tub, I'd also recommend an umbrella whilst in the hotub to avoid getting bird dropping on you. It should really have a canopy over it like one of the neighbouring hottubs has. Could do with replacing sofas badly worn and sunken and lingering smell off dog ( which i understand it was a pet friendly accomadation but could be cleaned properly) there are some good poits though, the beds were comfy the hotub it self was nice, when your not getting bird droppings on you, the showers in bath main bathroom and ensuite were good. The wifi helped alot as it is a complete signal deadspot, plenty of cutlery and crockery provided. We would stay again if a few upgrades and general maintenance were done. We paid 850 for the week and although was cheap for the accommodation you can see why it was cheap.

"Excellent place and area to stay if you are looking for peace, good walks, dog friendly, great village shop and good two places to eat as well as fish and chip shop and even a hair salon!"
Seems to have so much packed into a small village next to the golden beach. Newquay nearby and St Ives , Portreath ,Gwithian etc. I come here and stay at this very beach home twice a year with my son and three border collies . Can’t fault the facilities . Willl be coming again asap !

"We had a wonderful stay but I would highly recommend looking at the doors, front and main bedroom as they were very hard to close and lock, also the kettle needs replacing as it leaked onto the base a lot making it quite dangerous."
The cleanliness was good but would advise pulling beds away from position as we found dirty tissues & chocolate wrappers down the sides of the twin beds otherwise the house was in a great location for us and we would definitely come again Kind regards Mrs T Hughes

"We had our second stay here, for two weeks this time in the lovely setting for Porthtowan."
Like how this property is kind of tucked away and is a quiet little haven. All essentials are there such as a washer, dishwasher and storage, which is a godsend when you have a child like we do. The balcony and outdoor spaces really help too. The hot tub especially helped us all relax.

"Good position walking distance to sea."
More attention maintenance and cleaning needed. Decking covered in bird poo,and last holiday makers stones and sand on patio tables. Upstairs balcony table very rusty Main bedroom one door to balcony stuck Mattresses, duvet and mattress protector not as clean as I would expect. Main ensuite shower not draining Lots of chipped crockery, and cooking utensils had broken handles. Hot tub was lovely, but would have been nice to have a decent set of plastic glasses ( as glass not allowed in it) Lovely fresh white towels, plenty of hot water. Spacious downstairs living area. Potential to be really nice, just needed a little more attention to detail and TLC. Overall we had a great holiday.

"We had lovely time at this property."
We appreciate how clean and stylish the accommodation is and how conveniently located for village and beach. Abundance of clean bedding and towels was appreciated. The coastal path is directly accessible from Towan Valley. Some suggestions: the front and back doors jam a little. The carpets could do with a revamp. The main bedroom door doesn't close properly. Some of the crockery is cracked or chipped. The dishwasher is temperamental. There are no toilet roll holders in the wcs. Outside the waste bins were overflowing. We brought our own dog gate for the stairs and perhaps to have one on site would be helpful. This property is very dog friendly so we would book again.
Thank you for your feedback and making us aware of these points, we will look into getting them sorted. We are glad to hear you had a lovely stay and hope to see you back again soon. Property Owner

"Fantastic week stay at 11 Towan Valley."
Clean, spacious and within a few minutes walk of the beach and local amenities. The hot tub was also well received!

"Property was beautiful and big."
.beds where comfy and wifi fast..perfect!!...would have liked a gate (or baby gate ) for outside on the decking ,stop the dogs from wondering but that is just a luxury for us with pooches..would definitely book again (march)?..cant fault it. (only one small fault ,no change of bedding for second week ..as we usually get..but I washed them and dried them quickly so no big deal )

"It was mentioned in the listing that there would be a swimming pool on site however that was not the case as when we got there some people said it was a plan about 5years ago and not got pushed any further."
Also the cleanliness of the house was not great, there was cobwebs everywhere, inches of dust on top of wardrobes and on blinds etc. Hence all the cobwebs there were loads of spiders crawling about which is understandable because of the season changes but for the amount there was it was not nice and comfortable to sleep with. Speaking of comfort, the beds and pillows were ridiculous, I had 4 pillows to myself but felt like I had 1, I’ve got chronic back pain originally and so has my mum who has got a medical condition where her back needs to be risen and we were both in so much discomfort due to the pillows being so flat. The mattress itself was average, no life or bounce to it. We had a maintenance man come out as I went to put the heating on in my room, as soon as I did I could smell gas. My mum said it’s probably just dust I can smell, as she went to check behind the radiator, the whole radiator fell off the wall and was hanging on by tiny temporary screws. Immediately turned the radiator off, took pictures and sent them straight to the people in charge. Few hours later they sent out that maintenance man who fixed it straight away but mentioned the mattresses hadn’t been changed in over 11years, when the site first ever opened?? Besides all that, had a great stay, liked how big and spacious the place was along with the fact that they provided a smart TV where you could watch Netflix, Disney etc.

"Great location, weather spot on."
.. We felt there could have be more kitchenware eg glasses, big pan and utensils.. Plastic under sheets were very uncomfortable in hot weather and the duvet covers were clearly too large for the duvets....
Hi Kevin. Thanks for your feedback, we welcome your suggestions so we can keep on improving our guests stay. Unfortunately glassware does get broken and on this occasion I wasn’t aware that the glasses had run low. I have noted your comments about the linen and will get this sorted with our housekeeper. Hope you will visit again. Kind regards, Rob. Property Owner
