Functional. Design is quirky, compact and smart. Clean and tidy. Good situation, 1.5miles from Newquay centre. Local pub and coop which was grand

  • "Shower was either to hot or to cold, the TV reception was intermittent, The mattress on the bed was so bad we both suffered bad backs, The bedroom ceiling was a problem, must have banged our heads a dozen times."

Location ok, just a 15minute walk to the beach. Idea area behind the place to take the dog for his business.

The owner is sorry the shower was running either too hot or too cold, a new shower has now been installed and we appreciate your feedback. The area at the rear of the property is no longer suitable for dogs and has been cleared by the local authority. Property Owner

The Cottage was well maintained and the owner had thought of everything (wifi, bluetooth, even a spice rack!). I would highly recommend staying here and felt very at home. I would definitely book this cottage again.

About the location

Porth 1 mile; Newquay 1.6 miles; Truro 14 miles.

St Columb Minor is a quiet village off the main road into Newquay, with a supermarket and an excellent local pub, the Farmers Arms. Here, apart from being well-known for their food and local ales, a varied range of weekly events prove most popular. Opposite the pub, is the magnificent village church, dating from around 1430, and the high tower has been a landmark for generations of fishermen. There are many lovely beaches on offer in Newquay that you will be spoilt for choice but, for families, Porth beach takes some beating. A lovely sandy beach with a sheltered aspect being protected by headlands on both sides, it has been a favourite with those in the know for many years. Just over a mile away is the town of Newquay which is known as the home of the UK’s surf scene, boasting three major beaches, the National Surf Centre and an endless supply of rolling surf, making it a watersports paradise!
