  • "Beautiful place to stay in a lovely location."

    Plenty to see and do.

  • "This property, like most holiday let’s has wi-fi."

Sadly, said wi-fi is so incredibly slow and clunky it is worse than useless. Better to have none than to have something that is so bad you spend ages trying to get the thing to function, and mostly failing. Also, much of the fixtures and fittings are tired. The whole place would benefit from some TLC. The kitchen fire alarm is too sensitive and/or badly placed as any sort of cooking sets it off. To sum up, not actually bad, but needs a bit of work.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We were happy that you indicated you enjoyed your stay overall and we are glad you scored the property highly for both cleanliness and comfort. We’re sorry you experienced issues with the internet speed though. Due to the location of the property in the Porthcurno valley, internet speeds are variable and often slower than you might be used to in a city. Improvements are being made locally however and the owners have advised us they are investigating other providers to see if it will improve matters. We don’t agree that fixtures and fittings are tired and feel that the current photographs accurately portray what you can expect here. The smoke alarm works as it should do, which we are reassured to know however we do agree that it is sensitive and it’s a good idea to slightly open a window and keep the extractor fan on when cooking certain foods.'' • "The cottage was well equipped and the welcome gifts were lovely thank you."

We met the cleaners as we arrived and they told us that there was a problem with one of the toilets and they had informed the owners. It was a bit of a problem as we were 2 couples and both bathrooms were en-suite. The owners kept us informed of the progress of getting a plumber and were very apologetic when the earliest time was Monday afternoon. I do feel that the bathroom in the twin room should have a blind.
