    Having stayed all over St Ives the past 30 years these were the best views we have ever had. The apartment is well equipped and comfortable for a holiday stay. Just a short walk from both the town / harbour and Porthmeor beech but far enough away to be quiet. We were particularly impressed with the recycling facilities having found these to be generally lacking in St Ives and the outside tap for washing off the sand. We have already booked this apartment again for 2020 and would highly recommend it. "

Perched overlooking St Ives, at Tate Reach, within the Barnoon area, this two-bedroom, second floor apartment, enjoys far reaching sea and harbour views, from the living area and balconies, ideal for the town centre, Tate St Ives, St Ives scenic railway, and Porthmeor Beach, which are all within a short stroll. Sleeping four, plus and infant and welcoming a medium size dog, this pet friendly home is perfect for a family wanting to bring the whole family away.

Set on the second floor of this Victorian house, is a holiday apartment which has been lovingly refurbished with exposed beams, Velux windows and two sets of double French doors, which open out onto two bay styled balconies, with breathtaking views across St Ives to the harbour and out to sea, so whether you're cooking, dining or relaxing you'll enjoy this fantastic Cornish vista, throw open the doors and breathe in the fresh sea air, watch out for wildlife through the supplied telescope, or cosy up on the corner sofa which comfortably seats four, or cream leather armchair with matching footstool, and soak up the views, alternatively enjoy the entertainment on the television with integral DVD and full Sky package, including cinema and sports.

The kitchen and dining area is within the living space, perfect for socialising with the chef, a Velux window lets sunlight flow onto an oak dining table with seating for four, providing a wonderful space to entertain or dine in, there can’t be many kitchen’s which enjoy such a fabulous view across St Ives, the second set of living area French doors, lead from the kitchen to the second seaward facing balcony, the kitchen with fitted with oak units, sleek black granite effect worktops and a washer/dryer, is well- appointed with everything you need, including sea views to inspire your dishes.

There is a choice of two bedrooms, peacefully positioned to the rear and both benefiting from en-suite wet rooms, with rainfall shower, the master king sized has a view of Porthminster beach from the window, the twin enjoys views across to Clodgy, taking in the Tate St Ives, each is well presented with sumptuously dressed beds and plenty of storage space. Two bay style seaward facing balconies, accessed via two steps up from the living area and kitchen, via French doors, take in pretty much the whole of St Ives, from Porthmeor beach to the Island, two chairs and a small table are provided, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or drinks as the sun sets.

If you love dining out St Ives has a variety of cafes and restaurants all serving fresh local produce and many with harbour and beach settings, the nearest beach, Porthmeor, has a beachside café set right on the blue flag awarded sands, with a seasonal lifeguard service and surf school, it’s a great place to try catching a wave, there is also a Michelin Plate restaurant found at Porthminster Beach, another of the town’s largest beaches, cobbled streets lead off the pretty harbour with an array of boutiques and art galleries and of course your just a few steps away from the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, filled with work from famous artist inspired by St Ives. St Ives has some small pet friendly beaches but the lager ones do have pet restrictions, so venture out with your dog along the South West Coast Path towards Porthkidney Beach, its pet friendly all year, with a long stretch of golden sand, for a relaxing return journey jump aboard the scenic railway, it connects the surrounding area, running beside the beaches with sea views all the way.

Cornwall is blessed with glorious gardens, from Trebah, a sub-tropical paradise with a stunning coastal backdrop, near Falmouth, to Heligan, lost to the brambles of time since the outbreak of WW1, to the Eden Project’s rainforest with its exciting canopy walkway, there is so much to enjoy and explore, you may wish to see where your favourite actors in Poldark, Doc Martin or Fisherman’s Friends have been filming, many of the hidden coves, historic tin mines and quaint harbours can be visited, don't forget your camera, the kids will love the rides at Flambards in Helston, or Camel Creek Adventure Park, near Wadebridge or feeding the animals at Paradise Park near Hayle.
