  • "We have stayed in this block of apartments before but not in ‘The Penthouse’ so I knew what to expect."

Happily the apartment met my expectations and we had a thoroughly pleasant stay. The bed was comfy and all the furnishings were of an excellent standard and it was a welcome rest bite from the worst weather we have encountered in St Ives in 20 years! Thank you to the team at Caribs Bay holidays.

  • "This is our second stay at this apartment."

The view over St Ives bay is beautiful. However since our first stay the double bed has worn and we found it quite uncomfortable despite the multiple mattress toppers. The spec of the rest of the flat is very high so may be worth upgrading the bed. Other than that we had a lovely time staying here.. good location, facilities, sky tv. Would stay again .

  • "Really beautiful property, well equiped and clean."

The views are stunning and we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony. We were lucky to have glorious weather during our stay, so it could get quite warm in the apartment, but the fans supplied in the rooms really helped keep it cool overnight. We had a lovely holiday.

  • "Beautiful location, well equipped apartment with stunning views across St Ives."

Felt the walk down to the beaches were easy reachable and myself doing early walks around really help me get my bearings. St Ives is hilly with lots of steps but worth the visit just take your time. So many shops (my wife and twin boys have cealiac gluten allergies) which caters so well for everyone. Best fish and chips, gluten and normal is Becks in Carbis bay, worth the 5 minute drive and 20 minute wait in que…trust me. The apartment has fantastic view across St Ives and as mentioned is well equipped with fluffy towels and a set of beach towels. Kitchen is also well equipped however we took our coffee maker and this would be a nice touch to add to the facilities. Apartment is well maintained and very clean and classy. Downside. I had 2 13 yrs boys, WiFi was very ropey when we were all on, again worth owners upgrading for a small cost. As a glass frontage can get very hot and balmy at night, take fans, was a challenge sleeping even with fans provided. Likely an isolated incident but the en-suite was stinking, we hardly used it, reported it so hopefully it will get fixed. Also there is a machine that recognises condensation in both bathrooms. One was broke ruined our night (all night) with irruption of clicking for about 30 seconds at a time at Radom times, kept us awake all night one night which was too much. Again killed about a day and a half but once reported staff were superb. So any issues please report. Found it easy to find, and parking was okay. Tesco is Caribs bay about 1mile away 5 minutes in car or larger Asda in Hayle 10 minutes. Loved the stay. Shame about some issues but wouldn’t put us of coming back to St Ives and this penthouse.

Thank you for your fantastic feedback. We are thrilled to hear that you loved the property and your stay! We are sorry that you had a couple of issues but are pleased that we were able to rectify these very quickly. Thank you again for your comments and we hope to welcome you back in the future. • "We really enjoyed the apartment, stunning views and great size for a family of 4."

Great location however there is a steep walk back from the town and two flights of stairs to get up to the apartment so not great for someone with mobility issues. The rooms were nicely presented upon arrival. A couple of issues to point out, the cleaner and maintenance man were still in the apartment when we arrived at 4pm and the lights in the main bedroom kept dimming uncontrollably. That aside, would visit again and overall happy with our stay.

Thank you for your feedback, we are pleased that you enjoyed the apartment, views and location. We apologise that a couple of staff members were finishing up some areas in the property when you arrived - if you have any issues please call one of the team and we will be able to assist straight away. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Kind Regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

  • "Very smart, clean, modern, colour-coordinated apartment with Sky TV which was appreciated as we were able to watch various matches from the French Open tennis!"

Nothing bad to say except for the fact there were 2 flights of stairs which is ok apart from hauling cases up on first day and down again on last day - but were told prior to booking that there was no lift. Also very steep hills going down into the town. We found it best to walk up to the Leisure Centre and then catch a bus to the beach or into town. Would suit fit couples or a family with two school age children - no pushchairs!

Thank you very much for your constructive Feedback comments following your recent holiday at Belyars Penthouse, we do hope you enjoyed your stay. As the apartment is a penthouse apartment and there is no lift at the development, we have noted this on the website so guests are aware before booking. What a great idea to catch the bus down into town from the nearby Leisure Centre. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future. • "This was our second stay in Belyars Penthouse."

It’s a beautiful apartment, very bright, modern and spacious with fantastic views of the sea. There is a balcony you can sit out on although it wasn’t quite warm enough while we were there, even so it was nice to just stand out on it and appreciate the stunning views. The apartment is well equipped with just about everything you need, including a smart TV which has Netflix on it. It’s quite a steep walk from St Ives up to the apartment (only about ten minutes) but well worth the walk. It might be difficult for those with mobility issues though. St Ives itself is a really pretty little town and the apartment is really well located to enjoy it. We will definitely book again.

My only piece of negative feedback is about the windows and doors. In particular, the difficulty in snecking the balcony door meant we often went out or went to bed with the balcony door off the latch. No great security risk, but this needs looking at. We also got a parking ticket while parked legitimately outside. Apart from this, an amazing apartment in a great location in a wonderful place.

  • "We had a brilliant weeks stay at belyars penthouse."

The views across the sea are amazing in a morning where you can enjoy a coffee on the balcony. The apartment is clean and spacious, however it can be quiet warm during the day so the fans supplied in the apartment are needed. It comes equipped with all the facilities needed and appliances are easy to use should you want to cook whilst on holiday. The location is good, about a 10 minute walk to the town centre, however the hill the apartment is situated on is quite steep so may not be suitable for people with mobility issues, but buses run regularly and stop outside the building. Overall we have had a brilliant holiday and would definitely book this penthouse again. We would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in St.Ives.

Great views of the sea and pretty easy to walk into St Ives (unless you have mobility issues). Nice size bedrooms and very good bathrooms for the size of property. Very comfortable lounge, with all the mod cons. The balcony was excellent. My only worry would be with possible parking problems when all flats were being rented - unclear where you would then need to park and whether it would cost you.

We enjoyed a comfortable stay. Where we did identifiy and report concerns they were quickly and effectively dealt with by Cameron and Jess at Carbis Bay Holidays. In order to raise standards further we would suggest that the stairway alarms are tested regularly by the property management company These matters are apparently not the responsibility of the letting agent. Despite this, CBH acted decisively to resolve the issue. Secondly,.we would recommned that the outside of the sea facing windows are cleaned before each tenancy. (It is understood that seagulls are local nusiance to many visitors!)

We found it to be really comfortable & fulfilled our expectations. No expense spared . We struggled with the key safe ? There are quite a few & it’s not immediately obvious which is for the apartment , S5 is on a couple of key boxes . The mark down on cleanliness was for the bottom of the coffee table was dirty , I cleaned it when I was wiping down before leaving & there was a lot of dust , cobwebs on the window structures . I would happily book this property again , just for that view .

Dear Hilary, thank you for your Feedback following your recent stay at Belyars Penthouse and I am pleased to hear you found the property comfortable and it fulfilled your expectations, I also agree that it has great views across the Bay. We had to get assistance from the local office. The person who came out to help could also not locate the key safe until he did so by a process of elimination (there were around 10 key safes). 2) Body hair on bathroom floor, food in cutlery drawers. 3) No parking permit provided - we have been fined £60 for parking at the accommodation. 4) No response to emails until the Thursday morning. An offer to clean the flat on Thursday came too late - we had already been there since the Saturday. 5) No response to request that the cost of parking in a public car park is covered in the absence of the parking permit. 6) No response to emails about parking permit. 7) No response from text message to housekeeper.

  • "We thought the apartment was very nice, tastefully and comfortably furnished, the kitchen was very well equipped and the view was fantastic."

Just a few minor things we would like to point out. In the main bedroom, one of the bedside lamps did not work. In the second bedroom, one of the drawers was not clean and the toilet in the main bathroom was dusty. Also, in the second bedroom, there is a lack of shelf storage, as one of the cupboards is locked. The majority of the cars that were parked at the apartment were relatively large and we thought that most of the parking spots were really tight. Whilst we generally strip the beds when we leave a holiday apartment, we did not like the fact that we were required to do it. We also did not like the very late check-in time and the very early check-out time. Still, we had a great time and would definitely recommend the apartment.

Dear Monika, Thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback. Lovely to hear you enjoyed your stay at Belyars Penthouse. We will pass on the points you have raised to our property team and action accordingly. When our guests bring issues to our attention, we endeavor to resolve as soon as possible. Although we do understand your point about the gathering the linen before you check out, with COVID_19 still being quite prominent in our area, we are continuing to protect our housekeepers as much as possible by asking for linen to be bagged up on departure. We hope that at some point, we can go back to the normal we used to know, but at the moment we are still very much trying to protect all parties involved, including our guests with the slightly later check in and earlier check out, again we hope to review this shortly. Short walk into town/beach - the view from the apartment makes the walk back up the hill worth it! Nice that blankets are provided for use on the balcony if it gets a bit chilly. Could do with a few more plates/bowls etc but this is a minor thing. If you are thinking about staying here - just book it - you will have a great time.

Dear Vicky, Thank you for taking the time to submit you feedback. Its lovely to hear you enjoyed the apartment, and we totally agree, if we didn't have the mixed terrain, the views wouldn't be there, so there is a perk, you are correct, and sounds like the view was enjoyable snuggled up on the balcony. • "This is a beautiful apartment that has been furnished to a very high standard."

The beds are comfortable, the bedding and towels of a really good quality and is equipped with everything you could need. My only criticism would be that the washer dryer is exceptionally noisy so you can’t hear the TV when it’s on and the the dryer really doesn’t dry the clothes at all. It would be useful to have a larger airier for 4 people as drying the towels was almost impossible as it would only fit 1 on. It’s in a great location and about a 15 minute stroll to town however the walk is down a very steep hill and so would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. We would definitely stay here again but maybe bring our own towels too so we didn’t have to try and wash/dry those there after a day on the beach.

Hi Lara, Thank you for your Feedback and lovely comments following your recent stay at Belyars Penthouse. I have forwarded your comments regarding the dryer and airer to our Property Management Department for their attention. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future. We arrived early after a long journey and I called the office to see if the apartment was ready before the 5pm time! We were able to get access a couple of hours earlier and the apartment didn’t disappoint! The apartment was amazing, very spacious, clean great location and perfect for our family of four! Great location, only 7 mins from the centre of St Ives and beach. The only thing that I would suggest is to make sure that you book all your restaurants well in advance as St Ives was super busy! We booked cellar bistro and the Firehouse restaurants that were both amazing! Can’t wait to come back to St Ives …

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and the complimentary tea, coffee, soft drinks and sweets were a nice touch the house keeper who greeted us who was a very helpful nice lady also brought us some milk to get us started until we had chance to go shopping. Our daughter found the twin room very comfortable and was pleased she had the main bathroom to herself as our double had an ensuite. Lots of big fluffy towels provided and the beds and all linen were very comfortable. The apartment is just a ten minute walk into town but it is on quite a steep hill but this is worth the extra effort for the lovely view. We were highly impressed and would definitely book again.
