  • "I have just had a wonderful week in St Ives."

    The property was beautiful. It was so clean on arrival, with fresh flowers , and a few essentials plus a bottle of Cava and lovely treats for the dog. The kitchen was so well equipped. I cannot fault this property, I always book with Carbis bay holidays for my regular visits to St Ives, but I think this has been the best property I have stayed at. Thank you

  • "Great location."

    lovely light flat, tastefully and simply decorated. The owner left a lot of useful things for humans and our dog. We loved the Cava, the apple juice and biscuits and really nice touches like dressing gowns. A few small niggles, (struggled with hot water when first arrived) but these were minor and the overall impression was a beautiful and welcoming flat. We'll be back!

  • "Lovely apartment."

    Well equipped, beautifully furnished. A good chill out accommodation. The mattress in master room was very lumpy, which was a shame. There was a blown bulb in ceiling of master bedroom which tripped out upstairs lights. Loose hand towel holder in master bedroom en suite. Slight smell of damp in family bathroom. Lighting to entrance & stairwell not working, we had torches . But… would recommend and certainly book again if we get the opportunity. The extras for Christmas stay were very welcome.

    Freezer had things left in it. Don’t think sofas have been cleaned under for a while, we had to get our dogs ball from under one settee and found rubbish underneath. Great proximity for walking into St Ives and the problems we found wouldn’t stop us from staying again but felt I needed to pass on our findings so they can be addressed. Thank you for a lovely stay

  • "The apartment was excellent; very well equipped, extremely comfortable and spacious - we particularly loved the balcony bathed in sunshine all day!"

    I would definitely book again. Unfortunately the complimentary passes for the spa in the nearby hotel that were advertised had expired which was disappointing. Just a small thing - there was a broken wine glass and a chipped glass in cupboard - so these could do with checking before arrival. Plus, not having a dog, we did notice a fair amount of dog hair on rugs and soft furnishings, but it wasn’t a big deal. Thanks for a great stay.

  • "Great holiday and clean apartment but you need someone to quality control before each new visitor if the cleaners don't do it."

    Broken glasses were put back in the cupboards, bulbs were out and showers were broken with broken parts simply put in the vanity cupboard. The alternative is a maintenance book is left out for people to comment on. I understand many times visitors don't tell you of faults.

    Despite the short notice, booking was easy and clear directions and access information sent the next day. The apartment is beautifully furnished and has everything you need for a great holiday. Great location for walking everywhere, town, beaches, shops and restaurants and not too steep a climb back which is a bonus. We were worried about privacy when using the balcony, but even though most of the other apartments were occupied we were not aware of other people. Would highly recommend."

The rainforest biome was amazing, not sure the rest lived up to this. An hours drive from St Ives. And finally, a very bracing swim off Porthminster beach. The property

Set in a prime position above St Ives town centre, at Gallinas Point, this three-bedroom, duplex, penthouse, enjoys stunning views of the bay from its bedrooms and balcony, the town centre shops, beaches and St Ives scenic railway all within walking distance.

Sleeping six, plus two infants and pet friendly, it really is ideal for the whole family or group to enjoy a holiday to St Ives, including four legged members.

The spacious open plan living area is bathed in natural light through floor to ceiling windows and patio balcony doors, offering a bright and welcoming space for the whole group to cook, dine and relax, set the mood lighting and curl up on either of the two leather sofas or relaxer chair, comfortably seating six, and enjoy the entertainment on the large 50” television with BT Vision, including sports and movies, or slide open the patio doors and step out onto your private south facing decked balcony, soak up the breath-taking ocean views with a glass of wine.

The kitchen and dining area are within the open plan living space, so guests can easily socialise with those preparing meals, an oak table with six designer chairs and a secure booster toddler chair, is perfectly laid out so the whole group can dine together, alternatively, the patio is a wonderful place to enjoy al fresco meals or entertaining with ocean views, the contemporary designer SieMatic kitchen, with contrasting cream and wenge units and sleek Corian work tops, is well-appointed with everything you need for your holiday, it also enjoys a breakfast bar, so you can enjoy a pre-dinner coffee, socialising with the chef, a utility cupboard in the hallway houses a washer/dryer.

There is a choice of three comfortable bedrooms all with far reaching sea or roof top views, the spacious master king sized bedroom features a private en-suite with bath and shower-over, and along with the twin room is located on the top floor to maximise the views, the ground floor double sized room also benefits from a private en-suite with an enclosed shower, all are well presented with beautifully dressed beds in Egyptian cotton and offer plenty of storage space, bathrobes and slippers are supplied for guest use in the king sized rooms.

The family bathroom is located on the ground floor, a wonderful space to escape and relax amongst the bubbles in the bath with shower-over.

A south facing full-width decked balcony enjoys stunning views across St. Ives Bay, accessed via the living area patio doors, there is a flip-able bistro table and four chairs for dining alfresco, or lie back and catch some rays in the sun lounger provided, and relax to Cornwall’s slower pace of life. If you fancy a night out St Ives has a plethora of restaurants and cafes all withing walking distance of Panacea, many enjoy views of the pretty working harbour, where fresh fish is landed daily to serve them, your closest beach Porthminster has a Michelin Plate rated restaurant right on the beach, Porthminster Beach café, treat yourself to dinner or lunch with a breath-taking backdrop of the ocean, if you love art, there is so much to discover within the local galleries, browse the pretty cobbled streets filled with boutiques and gift shops for a gem, or enjoy an exhibition at the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, to see how the town has inspired many famous artists.

For fun walk with your four-legged friend head to the year round pet friendly beach, Porthkidney, reached via the South West Coast Path, accessed nearby, this cliffside walk is a fun way to arrive visiting Carbis Bay on the way, or hop on the scenic railway which follows the same route running beside the coast with mesmerising sea views, Carbis Bay Beach has been awarded a blue flag for its crystal clear waters, so although stunning, like St Ives larger beaches does have some pet restrictions.
