  • "Washing machine door not fitting well."

Some of the light switch caps were not secure and kept falling off. ( lounge and master bedroom ) Only small things, but could end up being a problem. Certainly didn’t spoil our holiday in this beautiful apartment We have holidayed at the Peninsula apartments for over 10 years. Hayley and her housekeeping team always keep the apartments spotless. A big shout out to them. Hope to get back very soon.

Thank you very much for your feedback and helpful comments. We will act accordingly! Really glad you enjoyed your stay though. Kind Regards, The Property Owners Property Owner

  • "We love this apartment and have stayed a few times before ."

It’s hard to beat the lovely location and views. However usually when we arrive we get lovely welcome pack with local apple juice a cream tea etc but we didn’t get one this time which was disappointing because we always looked forward to it after a long journey .Also there was no tea or coffee provided this year so we couldn’t even make ourselves a drink when we got there . Also there was no soap in the bathrooms . Have you stopped leaving welcome packs and tea and coffee etc now ?

We do hope you enjoyed your latest stay at The Boats and thank you so much for taking the time to leave your Feedback comment. We are so pleased to hear you love the apartment and we agree that it’s in a great location within St Ives as well as having wonderful views across Porthminster Beach. We are very sorry to hear some of the items of your Welcome Pack were missing, we have contacted the Housekeeper that looks after The Boats regarding this. With regards to the complimentary Cream Tea, unfortunately as the small local bakery that used to supply these has closed we were forced to find and alternative and I am pleased to advise that after much research and tastings we now offer local Cornish Fairings for our guests to enjoy during their stay. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back again soon. Best wishes The Carbis Bay Holidays Team. Property Owner

  • "Lovely location but the apartment should not be listed as ‘luxury’."

It is jaded in parts and needing modernisation. For example - bathrooms are looking old with grout and shower door seals unclean, kitchen appliances not great, these are cheap enough to replace, and walls had poor touch up marks everywhere. Outside table was smeared and would not want to eat on it without a thorough clean. Bin in kitchen is horrible, nobody wants to touch a bin. Blinds were very dusty. Perhaps consider the cleaning contract. Would come back if apartment had an overhaul.

Thank you for your feedback. We are saddened to hear that you found a few needing improvement during your stay. Thank you for your constructive comments, these have been taken on board and are already beginning to be actioned. We would always like the opportunity to rectify any points so please contact one of the local team on 01736 630015 and we will be able to assist straight away. • "Flat was a bit cold when we first arrived and took a couple of days to warm up."

Seemed like the boiler was turned down as water was just about hot enough- not something we had experienced when we have visited at this time of year previously. Increasing the temperature on the hall thermostat made no noticeable difference.

Thank you for your feedback. We are saddened to hear that you struggled with this. If you have any issues like this during your stay please contact the local office on 01736 630015, and one of the local team will be able to assist you straight away. We hope to get the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Kind Regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

  • "I would advise future renters not to make the mistake I made by booking 2 consecutive weeks."

We vacated the property to allow a full clean for the second week including emptying all the waste bins as requested. On our return the bed linens had been replaced plus bathroom towels but no sign of any hoovering, NO toilet rolls, NO soap or shampoo, NO dishwashing tablets. NO washing up liquid

Thank you for your feedback. We apologise if the two consecutive bookings have caused any confusion and inconvenience. With consecutive bookings we usually advise that guests do not need to check out and check back in as we make the housekeeping team aware of this. To confirm this, we called yourselves on 11.11.22 to say it would just be a linen change and not a full clean. Because the property is self-catering, after the first welcome items the rest must be supplied by the guests. If you have any questions on this matter, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly. Thank you again. Kind Regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay in St Ives at The Boats."

The location of the apartment is perfect. It has a fantastic balcony, great for sitting out with your morning coffee. The apartment was extremely clean and all of the furnishings were excellent quality. The use of the next door’s hotel’s facilities is also an added bonus. I would not hesitate in recommending The Boats.

Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the trouble to write them. They are very much appreciated and really glad that you had a great holiday (not that I think you can ever have a bad holiday in St.Ives!) Property Owner
