  • "The Double Bed was a great shock when we stripped the Quilt and pillowcases and sheet off at the end of our stay."

The Quilt it self was stained if we had known we would never have slept in the bed. Most disappointing. All we did was sleep in the bed. so there should not have been the stains that we experienced on the day of leaving. The sky tv did not like being fast forwarding and the picture would freeze then everything went off. Has to keep pressing the remote to get picture to re engage. Most frustrating.

Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear of the issues you encountered during your stay, we can confirm the duvet has been replaced and we will be sure to take a look into the Sky Tv. Despite these issues you experienced we do hope you had a lovely holiday and we hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future. Kind Regards ,The Carbis Bay Holidays Team. • "We had a lovely break we have stayed in quite a few of the apartments in Gallinas Point as they are of a good quality and in a convenient location with parking."

Just a couple of minor things to make the owner aware there was some damage to the decking on the balcony in the far corner, the table on the balcony has been replaced with one that is too big and hard to get a chair under. The bed in the main bedroom is advertised as king size but seemed more of a double and a bit more cupboard space for food items would be welcome but none of these things would put me off booking again.

Thank you for your lovely feedback and your constructive comments which have been taken on board and reported to the necessary departments to look into. In regards to the master bedroom bed, we would like to assure you that this is advertised as a double bed on the website. We are pleased to hear you would book another stay at The Point and we hope to welcome you back in the future. Kinds Regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

  • "The point was a lovely place to stay."

Really close to St Ives beach and town (5 min walk) and with an allocated parking space which was great. The beaches in this area are amazing and there was loads to see and do. The apartment had everything we needed and was super clean and modern. The beds were comfy, although for the price, a king size would have been nice. The kids bedroom was really spacious which was good for our two teenagers and having two bathrooms was a bonus. The kitchen appliances were great too. It was a lovely relaxing place to stay and hang out. We were a bit concerned about any noise coming from the flats above, but it was minimal. It was lovely to wake up and be able to see the sea in the distance. I would say, it wasn't the most relaxing place to sit on the balcany, as it's ground floor and looking onto the parking bays, people did walk right past. However, to have an outside space with a view of the sea was great. I would definitely recommend this apartment. Thanks for a great stay

  • "We had a wonderful holiday."

The apartment was spotless and well-appointed. The layout of the kitchen took a little getting used to (e.g not enough storage space for food as we need to be genuinely self catering) but after a few hours we were fine! We also shared the kitchen with a colony of ants and it would be good if that were dealt with properly!

Thank you so much for your wonderful, positive feedback. We are thrilled to hear that you had a wonderful stay! We thank you for bringing the ants problem in the kitchen of the property to our attention and can assure you that we will look into this to rectify the problem going forwards. We also want to apologize for any inconveniences caused by this. We hope to welcome you back in the near future. Kind regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team. Property Owner

There was a welcome pack of milk , tea , coffee , sugar , biscuits amd apple drink so this was a great help after travelling. Would recommend shopping in Osbourne as food is good value for money. If you dont like hills this apartment is not for you as it is very hilly here .

  • ""We have been coming to Cornwall now,as a family, for just 50 years, our stay at The Point last week was everything we expected and more."

It was very clean, well presented, and all the fixtures and fittings were clearly of the highest quality, and our stay was excellent. Our aim will be to use it again, hopefully next year. I'd go as far as saying that it was the best property we have stayed in to date. During our stay, we became "regulars" at The Seafood Cafe in Fore Street, excellent food, extremely pleasant staff, pleasant ambience, and not overly expensive, what more could you ask for, and we would recommend anyone to try it, but I'm sure that in the height of summer, it would always be necessary to book, as we did last week. In summary, then ,an excellent week was had all round." T. Civil

  • ""We had a fantastic holiday, The Point was great ."

Perfect location. Close enough to get to everything in a relatively short walk but far enough out to be out of the melee and on the right side to get out in the car easily without crawling through crowded streets which really should be pedestrianised. The view, even from the ground floor The Point was great. The apartment was really well finished and really well appointed.in terms of walks etc we love the coastal path walk to Carbis Bay beach and did this on a few occasions and even managed it last year with push chairs etc but didn’t need those this year. For a relaxed evening meal (without kids) we had a great night at the Porthminster Cafe which is great value for excellent food in a cracking environment. We’ve eaten there each of the last 3 years and noted it was in the Times tope 20 best places to eat on the coast a few weeks ago. With the kids we loved Blas Burger, small and grungy but a great burger and great value. Each year the range and quality of places to eat seems to improve with excellent Cornish produce so it seems to be coming a foodie heaven. The beaches are the main attraction for us and shouldn’t be underplayed. We’ve two young boys and they absolutely loved the boat trip on the Dolly P to see the seals. We’d recommend that particularly for people with young kids. Ours are 3 1/2 and nearly 6." M Longley

! The apartment as the first time was excellent and would highly recommend it to anyone. the service was first class no concerns at all. Having spent holidays at St Ives for the past 20yrs we have visited many places, but for the first time we went Porthcurno and the Minnack Theatre which was wonderful, and well worth the visit, we ate ate quite a few restaurants/pubs all along the Wharf, Lifeboat inn, The Sloop, The Hub, The Mermaid, Pells, Harbour lights to name but a few!! all of which were enjoyable." • ""Just a message to say how much we enjoyed our short break at The Point."

It was a last minute booking, we were absolutely thrilled with the apartment. It was the best apartment we have ever rented. Everything you wanted or needed was there. The standard of furniture, fittings, kitchen appliances and extras, bed linen and towels was superb. It is in a fabulous position with side views of the sea from the balcony and secure, private car parking outside the apartment. It was a 10 mins walk to our favourite pub and the shops in St Ives. The Sloop Inn did a great offer of a steak, dessert and bottle of wine for two. There are walks all around the immediate area. One walk we have done in the past being the cliff walk from St Ives to Zennor. It is rather a long walk but there is a homely pub to welcome you - and a bus to take you back to St Ives in high season. Thanks for a fabulous holiday." M. Jeans

  • ""Our stay at The Point exceeded all expectations."

The flat was spotless, warm, and welcoming. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in and was seriously considering taking one home with me! The apartment was decked out in comfortable and fashionable furniture that was a pleasure to relax in. The flat had nice views of the ocean and was situated in an excellent location which was a pleasant walk into town. The apartment was located in a quiet area which was very peaceful at night and indeed at all times of the day. We were met by a Carbis Bay representative literally within minutes of arriving and letting them know we were at the apartment who showed us through the apartment and gave us the key. They were friendly and informative. We had a great time visitng the Eden Project and had it been warmer weather (and not raining) we would have gone on more walks and done more exploring. We had an awesome meal at Cafe Coast which had stunnig views overlooking St.Ives harbour. We had a truly wonderful time in Cornwall and would love to come back in summer when its a little bit warmer! We would not bother looking anywhere else than Carbis Bay Holidays because we could not fault them at all! Thanks again and see you soon!" J James ( Australia)
