At low tide, you can walk to the equally superb Chapel Porth Beach or venture along the clifftop footpath, eastbound to St Agnes or westwards to Portreath.
Further up the north Atlantic coastline are Trevaunance Cove, Newquay and Watergate Bay, with Jamie Oliver's 'Fifteen' restaurant.
