We had a wonderful holiday. The cottage was wonderful - it felt like a second home. The cream tea left for us was a lovely touch.

The property

Be it summer getaways or cosy winter staycations, Sandy Cove represents the epitome of British vacationing.

With fresh, light, contemporary styling, the seaside apartment is created for families, couples and surfers alike.

Sandy Cove rests in the quaint Cornish village of Porthtowan, a thriving, mythical and scenic bay, which inspired the likes of Rosamunde Pilcher and J.R.R.

Tolkien.

Within a few moments walk of the apartment lay a small supermarket, delicatessen, ice cream shop, children?s play area and local pub/restaurants including the Blue Bar bistro for ocean front, alfresco dining.

Large French windows flood the apartment with light and open out to a super deck with sea views.

Relax here, with a good book or cook up fresh local food on the barbecue.

The apartment could hardly be closer to the Blue Flag Beach which is lifeguarded from May to September, and features a local surf school with surfboard and wetsuit hire for all ages. The South West Coast Path runs through the village, joining Chapel Porth, St Agnes and Portreath so bring your walking boots.

For a more cosmopolitan day, head to Falmouth - just 30 minutes away - and enjoy getting lost in the captivating lanes for a day of shopping, art galleries, artisan eateries and museums.

Part of a small development, Sandy Cove backs onto a no-through road.

The master bedroom features a double bed and the guest room offers a double bed with single upper bunk, suitable for couples or children.

For a sunny summer holiday or cosy winter break when the long nights roll in, stay snug under cosy blankets, while listening to the waves crash onto the white sand beach.

From the comfortable outdoor seating, watch the sunset from the deck, stargaze and enjoy the Cornish coast.
