  • “Lovely house.”

Got everything you need, it could do with a little paint in some areas there's a small amount of mould in the utility bit. The annex could do with either taking down or re doing as there is a powerful smell of damp as u walk in. The garden is nice but people need to get there mess up as there was dog poo when we got there. Beach not to far either. All in all we would definitely stay here again. Thank you for lovely time. Many thanks the Edwards family

The property

Stones Throw is a semi-detached house on two levels, with a little self-contained annexe, in the heart of Poldark Country, just a three minute stroll from Porthtowan’s fabulous sand/surf beach and coastal footpaths.

Step through the front door of the main house into a spacious hall for leaving your boots and coats after a bracing walk, on in to the living room and through to the snug cum playroom.

The open-plan kitchen-dining room has a utility room and there is a separate WC.

Head upstairs to four bedrooms, a king size double with en suite shower-room, a twin, and a double with bi-fold louvre doors through to a bunk room.

Family bathroom.

The patio garden has steps up to the dining area for those alfresco meals and fifteen yards from the house is the modest detached annexe, ideal for teenagers, with two day beds, TV/DVD, kitchenette and shower-room.

An excellent holiday house for families to enjoy surfing, rock pooling, walking and exploring the Cornish coast.

About the location

PORTHTOWAN

St Agnes 4 miles; Portreath 4 miles; Truro 9 miles.

Porthtowan is a small village resting on west Cornwall’s beautiful coastline, renowned for its Blue Flag beach, which at low tide exposes almost a mile and a half of fine, golden sands. Fringed by impressive granite cliffs, the beach is a popular surfing venue and is lifeguarded during the summer, making it ideal for families. Porthtowan is part of the St Agnes designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and there are some wonderful walks to be found, offering vivid scenery along the South West Coast Path, whether you choose to head east to St Agnes or west to Portreath. The towns of St Ives and Penzance, with their art galleries, restaurants and quaint harbours, are half an hour’s drive away, whilst Flambards Theme Park, The Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Gweek, and the Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station are just a few of the other diverse attractions scattered around this picturesque region. A great base for a varied family break.
