We are both large and struggled to get into the shower through the narrow gap in the screen. We would visit again and recommend to our friends. Peter.

  • "The cottage is lovely and comfortable with beautifully added marine elements."

Well equipped. The garden is big and beautiful with amazing exotic plants. The cottage and surroundings are very clean and tidy. The whole place it’s very relaxing and the host is very welcoming. The parking is provided, however it’s a bit narrow and it’s difficult to manoeuvre it the available space, the road view a bit restricted. Cottage is located in a quiet place surrounded by plants. The beach is big and beautiful. I strongly recommend this place and I would like to come back in the future.

This cottage would be worthy of a higher price - it was lovely, I just loved the decor and if I was a single person I would live in this cottage and the only thing I would change is the location of the TV

  • "The Lighthouse cottage was beautiful and the garden was amazing."

The property is so close to the beach which is wonderful. The Coach & Horses Inn's decor and food was lovely too. Thats's about a 5 minute drive from the cottage. We loved Praa Sands' beach. We travelled to St Ives, Falmouth, Penzance & Porthlevan which is a fishing port and adorable. We will definitely visit Praa Sands and stay at the Lighthouse Cottage again. Andrea who owns the Lighthouse cottage is lovely and was extremely generous with so many gifts. Thank you Andrea xx

About the location

Marazion 4.5 miles ; Helston 6 miles ; Porthleven 5 miles

The village of Praa Sands sits on the south coast in between Helston and Marazion. Praa Sands is known for its mile-long sandy beach and excellent surfing conditions. There is a bar/restaurant overlooking the beach – the perfect spot for lunch with a view or sunset drinks. Praa Sands is also home to a Golf and Country Club, from where the most wonderful sea vista can be enjoyed whilst you play. Just inland from the beach is Pengersick Castle, the tower of which dates back to the 16th century. It is said that Pengersick is haunted, and that the ghost of a monk has been seen wandering the grounds! The house at Pengersick is rumoured to be the birth place of John Carter, the self styled King of Prussia and a tunnel which leads from the house to the beach was apparently once used by smugglers. There are supermarkets and other retail stores in Penzance (8 miles) and Helston (6 miles).
