  • "Beautiful house and stunning views."

Lisa has thought of everything. The accomodation was clean and fresh. Loved the cosy log burner and the hot tub. We had a lovely relaxed and peaceful weekend, we will be back! ❤️

  • "Please be very careful if you want to book this property!"

It is far from secluded. There are 3 other properties which use the drive as well. Four other cars parked in the drive most of the time. We were told there was 1 other occupied property with its own entrance! You will often see one of the other residents walking their dog in the garden of your holiday home! The owner will come into the property within the time you are there .... to water the plants!! If only they were honest about the property, as some people don't mind neighbours and it is a nice property, just a little tired in places. We were really miss sold in many way's. We have photos of it all, and it's nothing like the online pictures! A very disappointed family!

  • "Loved the house - spacious, clean and well equipped and a great hot tub."

The cream tea on arrival was excellent. Met the owner Lisa a number of times during the week and she was very helpful with local information etc and a great host. I think Sykes should make it clear in the property details however that there are 3 other occupied properties within the grounds. The photos and details give the impression of a detached property with its own private access and driveway, whereas the other properties share the access, driveway and parking.

  • "We were blown away by the beautiful house, the grounds and the location."

Every detail was superbly attended to and a lovely welcoming touch awaited us - Cornish cream teas together with home made blackberry jam, the blackberries picked from the hedgerows around Currah - delicious! The children loved playing out in the extensive grounds at Currah and the location was near the town and beaches at lovely Perranporth. A great holiday!

The house is lovely, the garden and hot tub are also fantastic. Could not have asked for more!

Lisa was so helpful and made us extremely welcome with homemade scones and jam on arrival. Beautiful house would love to stay there again

  • "Absolutely first class property with everything you could need situated in beautiful countryside."

We also had wonderful weather which was a bonus. Easy to travel to travel to other towns. Delicious scones, jam and cream were a welcome sight after a long journey. Thank you to Lisa. The only details left out of description were that there were other occupied properties in the same grounds. Would definitely recommend this property.

  • "Have just returned from a great week in Cornwall staying at Currah."

. The house is located down a quiet lane just over a mile from Perranprth, it is a beautiful house equipped with everything you need, it is spotlessly clean and the hot tub helps with those aches after a day exploring cornwall.. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

  • "Very nice cottage, beautiful location, close to a lovely beach."

Cottage was very clean. However you have to leave this cottage the same clean as you found: no bread crumbs under the table, no fluff on a carpet… as you will be charged for good housekeeping bond. I wouldn’t recommend this lovely cottage for families with children, because it will be hard to keep it clean.

About the location

PERRANPORTH

Newquay 9 miles; Truro 9.5 miles.

Perranporth, a beautiful Cornish coastal town, lies in the heart of Poldark Country, the setting for the novels of Winston Graham who lived in Perranporth in the 1930s. Perranporth offers plenty of traditional pubs and shops, plus a classic bucket-and-spade beach that is lifeguarded in summer, overlooked by craggy rocks and a wonderful coastal path. Once known as the source of the finest tin, the community still retains reminders of the rich heritage with abandoned pump houses, mine shafts and workers’ cottages. The local Blue Hills Museum and Perranzabuloe Folk Museum are both well worth a visit to understand the fascinating history of this coastal area. Further afield are the miles of sandy beaches at Crantock and Holywell Bay, and the breathtaking coastal walks around St Agnes, much of it owned by the National Trust. A perfect holiday base in Cornwall, with an abundance of activities to suit everyone.
