  • "There were a few things that could be improved!"

The curtains were hanging off the curtain rings which I had to put back on in the kitchen I didn’t do the ones in the living room I left them as they were as this is not my job, although it drove me mad looking at them All week!! I don’t expect to have to sort someone else’s problems when on holiday. Whilst unpacking and opening the draw we found a dirty wet pillow case with a pair of dirty socks and an old cloth!! Again not what you want when you are paying a lot of money for a holiday!! I found the kitchen needed a few more things there was no chopping board so had to use plates to chop food! We were then short of plates as there is only 4 so had to keep washing to use again after chopping salad/food. Needs floor mats by the inside of the door it rained quite a bit and the floor after coming in was wet and quite slippy. Windows were filthy. Some of the lights/lamps bulbs had gone and had not been replaced, the outside light at the back door did not work so this made it hard to see what we were doing when replacing the key in the key box especially in the dark. The notes said it was the top box for the key but it was actually the bottom so made it even more difficult seeing. The drain pipe down the side of the property was like a tap being turned on when it was raining we were soaked as we passed it as this is the only way out of the property after locking up the back door. All these things are simple things that can be done to make the accommodation a nicer place to be, It just needs some TLC in my opinion. It is a great base as it is nice and central for getting to lots of different places. The park itself is lovely and had enough things for us to do, my girls loved the outdoor activities. I don’t think I would stay at this lodge again unless the things I had mentioned had been sorted. I would definitely stay on the park again though!

  • "The property is good as a base but we had issues of no hot water or gas for the first day at the property."

There are issues of damp and mould in the house due to unable to open the bathroom window.

  • "We enjoyed our holiday but thought that the lodge was a bit tired and could do with a little TLC: There was some mould on the ceilings and around window and door edges."

Curtains were not hung properly, Faulty guttering which leaked and some of the outside decking could do with repairing. We were missing a few items in the kitchen such as a chopping board, grill pan, spatula and scissors as well as in issue with the television which I did report a couple of days into the holiday but didn't get a response until after we had got home. On the plus side the lodge was extremely spacious, the beds were large and comfortable, it had a lovely powerful shower and the location was ideal for surfing at Padstow and Newquay.
