  • "We have been holidaying in Cornwall for years and this was by far the best accommodation we have stayed in."

I suffer from chronic pain and arthritis and this is the first time that I have been able to be comfy and relax after a busy day out. The place is spotless and furnished to a high standard with a strong internet signal. Brian and Sarah have really put their heart into this for their guests ensuring that comfort is a priority. They are lovely, welcoming hosts and very helpful pointing out areas for us to visit. The courtyard is beautiful and completely safe for dogs and our 2 loved it, especially exploring up and down the lane outside. Their 2 dogs are so friendly and the added bonus was getting to meet and stroke their horses. This is an exceptional place to stay and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Kerry, Steve, Jaz & Alfie x

The Granary has everything you could need for cottage holiday with plenty of kitchen pots/pans/utensils etc and there was shortbread biscuits, tea & coffee waiting for us on arrival along with essentials like soap & toilet rolls in the bathrooms. Ideally situated for visiting North Cornwall and Devon. Plenty of places within easy reach including Newquay, Padstow, Bude, Tintagel, Boscastle. My daughter even had her 1st surf lesson at Newquay. Several National Trust places nearby, would highly recommend a trip to Lanhydrock. Carnglaze Caverns is a good wet weather option and if you like puzzles then definitely worth a visit to Hidden Valley Discovery Park which is just a few minutes drive. We met wild ponies when driving over Bodmin Moor which were very inquisitive and friendly, not very wild! There’s a lovely walk down the footpath outside the cottage, across the stream and back round via the road. We had such a wonderful week and would highly recommend The Granary for anyone looking for a place to stay. Brian & Sarah were very friendly and helpful.

Was bit worried about young family bit of a way from coast.but its actually nicer than staying on one of those sites close to sea,as its quiet, away from hustle and bustle. Wide mouth bay, is not far great beach, and can almost park ON the beach. It also has 24hrs parking! The Granary was gorgeous, and had an very pretty in bloom garden, and the owners were very friendly and went out of there way to acomidate us! Will book again!

  • "A perfect stay!"

This holiday cottage is fantastic. Everything is finished to a very high standard and is extremely comfortable, along with being very accommodating to both us and our four legged friends. The owners, Brian and Sarah, were fantastic and always on hand if we had any questions or needed recommendations of local places to visit. The cottage is really well situated to be within driving distance of many local attractions, but is also in a lovely quiet and secluded farm setting giving the best of both worlds. There is a Tesco superstore and petrol station a convenient 15 minute drive away, if you happen to like to cook meals at the cottage - which the kitchen was very well equipped for. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk were provided on arrival, and if staying with dogs, water bowls, a few dog treats and even a dog bed for use during your stay. The courtyard area outside the property is ideal for dogs as it is enclosed, but also a nice little sun trap should you choose to sit outside and enjoy a beverage or two on a sunny day. A dog waste bin is also provided making tidying up after yourself nice and easy. The internet connection was always speedy and reliable, so is ideal for those who may need to do a little work etc whilst away. All in all we had a fantastic time here and would happily stay again! Highly recommended! Thank you for a great stay Brian and Sarah

The property

Badharlick Granary is an attractive, detached barn conversion dating from the 17th century, situated within a peaceful and tranquil location, on a farm on the edge of the village of Egloskerry, yet within easy reach of the historic town of Launceston.

Resting on the picturesque border of Devon and Cornwall, this heart-warming retreat is ideal for a family seeking to explore the delights of North Cornwall with its beautiful coastline, as well as the moors of Bodmin and Dartmoor National Park.

On the ground-floor you will find two stylish bedrooms, offering tranquil spaces to retire to each evening.

The twin bedroom enjoys charming character features with ample storage, whilst the master bedroom enjoys a king-size bed and a well-appointed en-suite, with a walk-in shower, basin and WC.

There is a spacious sitting/dining room where you will find everything you could possibly need during a week-long break, in addition to dual-aspect windows to ensure that the space is flooded with natural light and superb views.

The contemporary kitchen comes with all the appliances you will require to prepare home-cooked meals before planning the day’s events at the dining table or sinking into the sofa to catch up on your favourite TV show.

Relax and spend a moment or two within the enclosed courtyard garden, where you will be able to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining whilst your canine companions stretch their legs.

Within easy reach are Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor National park, where you will find miles of walking routes amid breath-taking scenery, as well as the coastal towns of Bude, Port Isaac, Padstow, Crackington Haven, Tintagel, Boscastle and Trebarwith Strand. Your nearest beach is at Crackington Haven – a lovely cove dominated by majestic cliffs suitable for swimming and surfing and dog friendly for part of the year.

There are also many beaches nearby that are dog friendly all year round.

If you can tear yourself away from this delightful base, venture to the town of Launceston, where you will find a selection of pubs and restaurants to enjoy, as well as a selection of shops to explore one afternoon.

Within the town, you will also find the ruins of the 13th-century keep, a number of golf courses and the Steam Railway which offers 5-mile round trips on the North Cornwall line.

Badharlick Granary is an outstanding accommodation for exploring this part of Cornwall and Devon.
