  • "Well equipped house this is the second time we have stayed."

    Great size bedrooms and 3 good bathrooms . Lovely quiet location close to the newsagent and Fees Food. Would prefer bedding and towels to be included in the rental.

  • "This was our 3rd visit to Penolver, and we really love the property."

    It definitely feels like a home from home and is very well maintained with all the essentials you need in an holiday property. It is well located for all our favourite places in Rock/Daymer Bay. The garden is a lovely space and we particularly enjoy the use of the hot tub. Penolver will always be our go to property in Rock as long as it is available.

  • "Well kitted out kitchen with non stick pans that actually worked!"

    Unusual in holiday lets. Need hooks on back of doors especially in bathrooms. Tv was too small. Great to have Alexa! The cleaning needs improving lots of cobwebs and dust in corners and behind bedside cabinets. Good comfy sofas! House looking lovely outside well maintained but needs gutters on front. We really enjoyed our stay thank you

  • "The house is well appointed and very comfortable."

    Not sure what £30 for an extra deep clean covered and the end toilet seat was very loose. Otherwise lovely terrace and garden, hot tub worth the extra cost and capacious car park appreciated.

The £30 for an extra clean was an old policy we used to employ if guests did not wish to leave the property in the same state as they found it (bagging the used linen and towels, taking out the bins etc.). However, this is not something we offer anymore and ask all guests to leave the property as they found it.   • "Thank you for your email, we all had a wonderful holiday thank you."

    The cottage was lovely as was the location and was perfect for our children, particularly the garden. We loved how easy it was to go across to Padstow on the ferry too. We really did enjoy the cottage, the kitchen was well stocked with crockery, glasses, etc and the dishwasher had a great quick cycle! The house flowed really well and the garden was fabulous, it was lovely and private and the built in BBQ was really well thought out. The decor was very nice too and the beds very comfy:-)

The property

A stunning spacious bungalow situated on the North Cornwall coast in the beautiful seaside town of Rock known for it’s mile long golden sandy beach.

Penolver Lodge offers superb contemporary accommodation, ideal for large families wanting to spend quality time together exploring the dramatic coastline and countryside.

As you pull into the generous driveway you are greeted by ample private off road parking, enter the property into a attractive hallway, make your way into the impressive well-equipped kitchen looking out to the sunny secluded garden, step through the doorway into the open plan sitting room with dining area with patio doors opening onto the sun terrace and lawned garden.

Discover four excellent bedrooms, three King-size (one with en-suite bathroom), one twin room, two family shower rooms and a laundry room.

Stepping out into the delightful south facing garden you are greeted by the stylish sun terrace with a fitted BBQ perfect for alfresco family meals and a raised well-kept level lawn area.

There is also an inviting hot tub to relax and unwind after a day full of exploring.

A wide range of restaurants are on offer in Rock as well as a variety of watersports.

Pop over to the nearby town of Padstow for a spot of retail therapy or simple explore the camel estuary with it’s amazing views, at low tide you can walk across sandy beach that wraps around to Daymer Bay, here it is sheltered with crystal clear waters perfect for swimming.

About the location

ROCK

Padstow 1.5 miles via ferry; Polzeath 2.8 miles; Wadebridge 6.2 miles.

Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.
