The property

Set in an ideal location for touring the stunning north coast of Cornwall, is this beautiful and wonderfully furnished mid-terrace accommodation, Snugglers' Cottage.

Nestled in the quintessential village of Delabole, this characterful cottage is the perfect choice for a couple or small family of three who wish to discover the true delights that this magnificent county has to offer.

As you enter the cottage, after passing through the porch you are taken into the snug, a delightfully relaxing room with a woodburning stove for those cooler evenings enhancing the restful feel.

From here it's up three steps into the magnificent open-plan living space with a well-equipped kitchen, breakfast bar and another most comfortable sitting area with an additional woodburning stove.

Continue through French doors and take five steps up to the impressive, decked area with plush outdoor sofas, providing the perfect spot to appreciate the views across the open fields and the fantastic sunsets the area regularly experiences.

There are two bedrooms here, a double and a single, as well as a stunning bathroom which completes the accommodation.

Anyone interested in fishing will be delighted that directly opposite the cottage is the Ferndale Fishery offering three half acre lakes in a sheltered valley where night fishing is also available.

Just a short stroll from the cottage will take you to the famous Bettle and Chisel pub where a warm welcome is assured, and a choice of local ales and a comprehensive menu is always available.

Top quality fish and chips are also available from Smugglers fish and chip shop in the village, an ideal takeaway to enjoy on the decking after a day on the beach.

Soak up the sunshine on Backways Cove, or delight in a fun-filled day in the town of Tintagel, home to Merlin's Cave and the imposing fortress of Tintagel Castle.

Hike along the National Trust owned Glebe Cliff and see St. Pirans Well, or head inland to the town of Bodmin and discover the 18th century prison of Bodmin Jail Attraction and Bodmin Beacon.

If travelling with children, be sure to stop by Camel Creek Adventure Park, or hop in the car and head for Porfell Wildlife Park & Sanctuary with something for everyone to enjoy.

About the location

Tintagel 3.5 miles; Camelford 5 miles; Port Isaac 6 miles.

At one time the producer of the world’s best quality building and ornamental slate, this now sleepy village is just 2.5 miles from the high cliffs and dramatic scenery of the north Cornish coastline. Perfectly placed for walking the South West coastal path, exploring the high places of nearby Bodmin Moor, or for lazing on the beach at nearby Trebarwith Strand, it’s a well-placed holiday base. The peaceful harbour village of Port Isaac and the town of Tintagel, with its tourist attractions and King Arthur’s legendary castle, are both a short drive, while the stunning surfing beach at Polzeath is a mere nine miles away. Slaughtersbridge, where King Arthur reputedly fought his last battle, is five minutes away and a drive north along the coast takes in the beautiful cove at Crackington Haven. An area away from the main tourist crowds, but very central to a vast array of places and activities. Delabole Quarry itself is just down the road and is an interesting tourist attraction with stunning views. It is the gateway to great countryside walks.
