  • "This was our 5th time staying at this cottage and it won't be out last."

It's small but perfect, well equipped, immaculately clean & in a great position for walks with the dog & visiting local places. Would highly recommend.

Thank you very much Lynda for your lovely feedback and booking Grainstore again. I’m so glad that Misty has been able to enjoy another holiday with you. Hopefully you will have better weather next time!! Xxx Property Owner

  • "Unfortunatly the new code number for the digi lock at the property was not given to me prior to arriving, so unable to gain access for half an hour or so."

Hi Paul, I'm so sorry you had trouble getting in. I have taken this up with Sykes. They believe that they sent you an email with the new code, however the problem would have been rectified much more quickly if the agent I spoke to had checked the code that you had. He assured me he had. Thank goodness my lovey neighbour was able to help. I do hope you had an enjoyable stay after a rather stressful start. Property Owner

  • "This was our 4th visit to Grainstore - & we've booked again for October!"

The cottage is small, very compact, but with everything you could need for a great holiday. It is extremely well equipped with a warm, homely feel & lots of welcoming touches such as a cream tea, milk in the fridge etc. Its position makes it ideally placed for visits to the beautiful St Nectans Glen & Boscastle & Tintagel. An attached parking area is a real bonus. Would highly recommend.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. It was an absolute pleasure to welcome you again. I am so glad you find Grainstore homely as this is just how I would wish guests to find it. I look forward to welcoming you all again in October. Property Owner

The cottage was comfortable and the facilities made it easy to have a self catered break with a 8 month old. I would suggest visiting st nectan glen, tintagel, benoath cove, boscastle, rock valley and trebarwith strand. Host was very friendly and provided lots of notes/ information. Would stay here again

Thank you very much for all your constructive feedback. Much appreciated. I’m so glad you had a lovely time with your little one. Property Owner

  • "Very enjoyable stay the Grainstore was exactly as described."

Our only problem was the stairs they are quite steep but that is something we should have considered when booking. Unfortunately we had to leave early due to illness but will definitely consider going back

I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay and really sorry to hear you had to leave early due to illness. I hope you are fully recovered and that you will come back again. Property Owner

  • "Everything you could possibly wish for in a small cottage."

Was very pleasantly surprised and with the lovely cream tea supplied. Beautiful area. Well worth a visit. The only downfall, this won't apply to everyone, is the outside space.......with a small, agile dog I wouldn't say its secure and there's no privacy at all. Maybe taller fencing and much higher gates would make for a more relaxing time. However, I would highly recommend this tiny but almost perfect place ... a real gem.

It is a clean, comfortable cottage with everything you could need for a holiday. Being virtually on the footpath to St Nectans Glen makes it a wonderful place to stay if you have a dog. Highly recommended.

Thank you so much for your generous praise and your repeat custom! It was really heart warming to see the photos of your beautiful dog making lovely memories with you. I do hope you will all be able to stay again. Property Owner

  • "We stayed here in September and came back for another week in November."

We were blessed with mild & mostly dry weather for the week &, along with our dog, we had a great break. The real star of the show is the cottage, a lovely, warm, cosy place to return to at the end of the day. The cottage is immaculately clean and well equipped with everything you could need. This is definitely now our go-to place for a holiday in this part of Cornwall.

The owners had thought of every small thing needed for a successful holiday. It was fully equipped with everything one might need, it was comfortable and it was exceptionally clean - very important at this point in time. Being so close to the footpath to St Nectans Glen, with wonderful woodland and coastal walks on the doorstep, was a great bonus. We fully intend to visit again soon.

Only thing I’d improve is maybe a bit more privacy in the garden as it’s quite a busy walking track and maybe a bigger tv. Just to let you know we left the recycling out on the kerb before we left this morning. Nichola and Tom (and Bella)

So glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you very much for taking the time to feedback. Property Owner

Be welcomed into the open-plan living space where you can set the table for two, whilst your other half rustles up dinner in the kitchen, complete with a coffee maker and washing machine.

After dinner, sink into the sofa and watch TV or relax in your enclosed front patio with a glass of wine, whilst your dog rests their paws in the evening sun.

Completing the cottage is a double bedroom with storage and sea views, sure to offer idyllic sunsets, along with an en-suite shower room.

Be sure to explore the village of Trethevy, home to the historic St Piran's Church, St. Pirans Well, and St Nectan's Glen, a magnificent waterfall set in a wooded area.

About the location

TINTAGEL

Camelford 5.9 miles; Wadebridge 13 miles.

Tintagel, home of the legendary King Arthur’s Castle, whose ruins dominate the cliffside just outside the village, is a popular but not overcrowded tourist destination. The surrounding area is dominated by the sea, rocky coves and stunning scenery. Several beaches, including nearby Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove, are within easy reach and surfing is the main attraction for those who love the water. Tintagel has several pubs and restaurants and the Old Post Office (National Trust) is a must. For the energetic, the SW Coast Path passes through the village and in both directions it winds its way along the cliffs and down to the water’s edge through dramatic countryside. Head north along the path and in 2.5 miles is the beautiful village of Boscastle with its quaint quay and village pubs for refreshment. Further afield are the surfing meccas of Newquay and Bude, with their resort attractions, while the open spaces of Bodmin Moor, the Eden Project, Padstow, Camel Estuary and Port Isaac are all within a 40-minute drive.
