  • "Squirrels Leap had everything we wanted, the property was clean, tidy and functional, and made for an enjoyable stay."

Rosecraddock was beautiful in the late autumn sun, well kept, and peaceful. Thanks!

  • "WiFi poor though and not at all reliable."

Dropped out during use. Wouldn’t accept 2 iPads and a kindle registered . Toilet cistern made loud banging when refilled. BUT - Quiet, relaxing site and good locality. Facilities were all we needed For our week’s stay.

  • "I was initially pleasantly surprised by the bungalow, the photos didn't do it justice, it's a very pretty bungalow, tastefully furnished and extremely clean."

The site is very pretty and the bungalows well spaced. However, all this was spoilt by the mattress on the lower bunk. It is clearly very old and you could feel every spring just by running your hand over it! As you might imagine it was impossible to get any sleep on it, even a child would have struggled to be comfortable and we had booked for 3 adults, so one of us either had to sleep on it or sleep on the upper bunk - not a great idea for adults. I would like to tick that the bungalow exceeded expectations, but given that we had gone away to relax and rest unfortunately I have to tick that it failed to meet expectations - the very least we expected was a good night's sleep. The owner may also wish to put in some more, better quality cutlery.

  • "Both the desk lamp and the room light in the bunkbed room are not working."

nobody came to fix it after we reported it once we arrived.

Thank you for your comments. I would like to assure yourself and our future guest that the light bulbs have been changed over following your stay. When you reported this to us at the time it was around 11pm at night and you were advised of the spares located under the sink and was asked to replace these yourself and it wouldn't be appropriate for someone to attend to change a light-bulb due to covid19. I apologise if your expectations weren't met and if this inconvenienced you as this is not something we would intentionally want to do. We would love to see you holidaying with us again in the future to give us a better chance to reset your expectations. Many thanks, the owner's of Squirrels Leap. Property Owner

  • "The house is lovely, the place as well."

But I choose a house that had wifi, unfortunately the wifi is limited and only 2 devices could log in. Also the signal was really bad most of the times. Because I specifically wanted a place with wifi, I had to say that it didn’t meet my expectations. Other than that the place is really great.

  • "Lovely park, beautiful surroundings, a nice peaceful retreat."

There was an electric heater in living area and bathroom which were quite adequate for those areas but bedrooms were a bit chilly for winter visitors.
