  • "We stayed here on September the property was lovely and clean."

The only problem was because the windows did not open, the rooms got hot. I called Skyes to ask if they could provide us with a fan on the Sunday, and on the same day, the head of housekeeping brought a fan to the apartment. So this was Fantastic thankyou. People upstairs was a little noisy at times however this did not spoil our holiday.

  • "I loved the little touch of some food and the toiletries after a long journey thos was much appreciated."

The place was lovely and clean. We were able to park fine at the back, although one day was a bit of a struggle. Loved the outside bath, we brought our swim wear and enjoyed relaxing in it at night watching the stars. The only couple of things I will mention is the noise from the person upstairs they sounded like they were stamping around. If your not used to flat living it drove us nuts after a while. The bed is 2 pushed together so makes it hard to snuggle as they don't meet very well. Although in a run down area it was the perfect base for us to get to places, so for us, the area didn't matter much.

  • "In unfortunately we found it virtually impossible to cook anything without the smoke alarms going off."

The bedroom could do with better ventilation, we had to sleep with the rear door open and rely on our dog to advise us of any intruders. But overall it was excellent, the shower was superb.

  • "The property is modern, comfy bed, outdoor bath I loved and we had no trouble from noise from neighbours or the town."

A few additions such as shower curtains over gazebo would provide modest privacy, an outdoor table and chairs for meals not just sitting and air con/far as no windows to open for ventilation. But parking was no problem secure round back and space for all, was easy access and safe. Nearby Sultanz curry house take (take your own drinks) handy and Aldi for food and drinks a step away. But Camborne itself run down and little to offer, however the property is located a short drive from national trust coast line and park and ride to st Ives and beautiful places and perhaps more reasonably priced for its location rather than those on coast so a bargain for what it offers and did. Had a lovely relaxed stay!

  • "I don't normally do feedback but having read the feedback before we stayed and some of it being negative I felt I had to put my views forward."

Lovely little apartment with key safe of bank door and key pad on front door, both worked perfectly. Fob for electric gate supplied which also worked perfectly. Entrance via the bedroom st the back, bed made with lovely fresh Krispy white linen and scatter cushions, towels sta key on either side of bed with complimentary toiletries which was a nice touch. Double wardrobe with ironing board and iron and hangers in it. Plenty of drawer space Nice clean bright bathroom, loo rolls supplied Kitchen and living area and airy with a lovely complimentary pack of snacks etc. Fridge held sachets of milk, freezer had a bag of ice. Washing cloth, washing up liquid, bin bags, tea towels, washing powder, hoover all supplied which was unexpected and a pleasant surprise. Kitchen very well stocked, had everything we needed. Basically in the middle of town so centre for both walking and to get out of town to the main roads. Garden had a single bath in it, nicely layer out but we didn't use it All in all recommended for a pleasant stay, dogs loved having their own garden.

  • "Lovely stay ."

Great little flat with outside space. We stayed for a week with our pooch. Only downside is noise from road (traffic is not heavy but had some noisy pedestrians ) as flat on main street to local pubs/shops. Didn't bother us but could be problem if you want peace and quiet. Flat has everything you need. Bed very comfortable.

  • "The apartment at klysa is well maintained, but the noise from the above apartment was awful, I'm almost certain it was on purpose."

Maybe the owner should rethink what flooring to put down. The bed at klysa is very uncomfortable, two single beds put together, bed dips in the middle, maybe owner should invest in a new double bed. Did not use the bath that is outside in the rear yard, very overlooked and did not feel private enough. The fitted sheet that covers the two single beds was stained, may have been chocolate stain or iron stain, housekeeper should have noticed this. I'm sorry to say that we won't be returning to klysa

  • "The place wasn't for us, the cleaning of the place wasn't very good, we had to clean the bathroom when we arrived, hairs on the toilet and lifted the seat to find marks on the loo and there is a brush, the floor hadn't been cleaned very well in the property, and the sofa under the cushions was terrible!"

The noise from upstairs walking about was like hurd of elephants and sleeping was a problem and we left a day early because we had enough of the noise, also builders vans blocking the carpark entrance was a nightmare!! And this happened everyday. This place isn't the best for a quiet holiday.

  • "Would have been perfect except for builders blocking car park most days and road works everywhere."

..but Would recommend because it can't be like that forever

  • "Very comfortable accommodation."

Welcome pack was very nice touch. Now to the negatives. Nice wardrobe but no coat hangers, we had to go and buy some. Why put in a wardrobe with no hangers. The hot water was turned off, took a while to figure out how to switch back on. I understand the heating being turned off this time of the year but why turn hot water off. Everyone needs hot water. Not enough room in carpark at the back of building. So if you came in late there was no where to park.

  • "We had a very pleasant stay in Camborne."

The apartment is a little less enjoyable because of the noisy and contious walking on the (wooden) floor above it. Kitchen is very complete and the apartment is very neat.

Hi Hans, We are happy to hear that you had a pleasant stay. We will defiantly investigate the noise issue to see if there is any way for us to make improvements to the property. Best Wishes, The Specialist Res Units Team :) Property Owner

  • "A well furnished property that is very comfortable, the housekeeper Josie was very helpful sorting out missing items."

Overall the kitchen utensils were good although the frying pan wasn’t compatible with the induction hob, a can opener and casserole dish might be a useful additions. Good location with plenty of bars, takeaways (the Sultan restaurant was excellent). Drivers be aware the access via the lanes is extremely tight for a large SUV.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback. We appreciate you rating the apartment so highly! We will ensure to provide a frying pan, can opener and casserole dish for future guests. Best Wishes :) Property Owner

  • "Starting with the positives: the apartment is very nicely furnished, comfy bed, great shower, very modern and ideally located to visit lots of cornwall within an hour's drive."

negatives: on arrival we were horrified to find that access to the apartment's car park was via a very narrow, and in some places, 2-way access road. in Yorkshire we would almost class it as a ginnel! not for those of a nervous disposition or a really wide vehicle. on arrival i realised we had been sent details for the property next door, not Klysa, to collect key. the key safe referred to was for Mews House. the key safe didn't work and ended up open. i had to contact Sykes who, although helpful, kept referring to a key safe at Klysa which didnt exist! the key code i was given was meant to open the front door of Klysa, an electronic door pad. this didn't work either. i also realised the same access code was used for Klysa front door and key safe of Mews House??? eventually we managed to get in the front to find that the back door key (supposedly in the key safe) was inside in an envelope. other holiday makers arriving had problems with finding the car park and kept asking me about it and their apartment (as though i was the holiday rep!). one nervous driver actually arrived with a local walking alongside their car to find the car park. when they got out of the car they asked me where the beach was as they had seen photos of a beach on the description of the property and hadn't realised it was inland!!! i must admit the photos of klysa could do with updating as the furniture in the living area is so much nicer than on the website. the apartment is big enough but not really ideal for dogs, particularly those who are elderly as the floor is too slippy - we bought some cheap towels to put on the floor to use as mats. the only window in the front of the property is directly on to the street which, when open, allows a lot of noise from banging car doors and people walking past - particularly at night. if you have a nervous dog it might not be ideal. also quite a bit of noise from upstairs - mainly heavy foot steps across the room (very loud) and the banging of the outside door connected to the upstairs apartments. the bedroom is not en-suite as indicated. there is a small step down from the bedroom to the shower area. the bedroom has a patio door to the outside and, because the front door lock had issues we had to go in and out through the bedroom all the time with the dogs - even in wet weather. we bought a cheap door mat, and put our own large bath sheets down on the floor to help protect the carpet. the property is uncomfortably warm, particularly bedroom and shower room (although a floor fan is provided). the property doesn't provide a vacuum or mop which isn't ideal when you have 2 dogs. we like to clean every day and couldn't do that. the only thing provided is a sweeping brush. the back gate to the garden, and the fence, is obviously new and swelled up in the rain. this made it hard to enter the garden. the car park isn't secure at night and on the first night there were some youths hanging around. the next morning i found rubbish stuffed down the side of the wing mirror and cider cans strewn about. there were overflowing rubbish bins in the car park which, due to the winds, blew rubbish about the car park and into the garden under the fence. entry to the car park is difficult when cars are parked in front of the block of flats to the rear of the properties so you end up doing a 3 point turn just to get out of the car park. the car park is not tarmac, instead it is like limestone chippings which are quite loose and quite high in the gateway. i understand from reading some other reviews that some vehicles 'bottomed out' as there wasn't much ground clearance so its not really suitable for sports cars. the welcome pack is lacking in information and appears to be designed for a hotel stay referring to bedrooms and the like. it didn't provide information about heating (not that we needed heating) or oven (we were lucky we knew how to work it). on the first night/2nd day we had no hot water - this applied to all the apartments. had to ring sykes again to inform them. they said they'd send someone out to sort and, if we wanted to go out leave the key in the key safe!!! which didn't exist!!! the next door neighbour came round again to see if we could help him work out the heating/water but the diagram he showed me in his welcome pack was so complicated there was no chance. he had to ring sykes several times too. when the maintenance chap arrived we were trying to sort out the front door key pad. he had a quick look at it and informed us it wasn't working correctly. the surroundings at the back of the property are not pleasant. the final straw for us was when someone deposited a full poop bag outside our bedroom patio door. we won't be back.

We are very sad to hear about the issues that you encountered during your stay. We will ensure to update the access emails and welcome information pack to ensure that guests find the property and navigate all appliances / heating systems with ease. We will also look into providing a vacuum and mop. We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with feedback and wish you the best! Property Owner

  • "We were notified that there was in fact no hot tub at the property (despite being listed) only a few days before we were due to arrive which was very disappointing as it was a reason for having booked it."

The local area leaves a lot to be desired but we simply used it as a base and every main location you would wish to visit are all within a 30-40 minute drive. The property itself was beautifully designed, immaculately clean and extremely comfortable. This is a credit to both the owners and the cleaners who do look to provide a wonderful ‘home from home’ for guests. Constructive feedback - besides correcting the listing - would simply be to offer a change of towels for those staying beyond 2-3 days.

Thank you so much for providing us with such lovely feedback. We strive to provide a 'home from home' experience and are grateful for your appreciation. We would be more than happy to provide a change in towels and bedding for our guests staying for a longer period of time and will update our welcome information packs on details to arrange this. We hope to see you again soon :) Property Owner
