    "Given the price and time of our visit I was not expecting luxury, but I would definitely describe the property as basic."

    It needs some basic maintenance such as the plug socket in the lounge hanging off, the silicone sealing around the kitchen sink peeling off (I have pictures of both) and the boiler was dripping water one evening. I also don’t think the level of cleaning was sufficient. It needs a deep clean. The small tables under the TV when we wiped them left our cloth black, the bathroom tiling needs bleaching to remove grime and the floor throughout left everyone’s feet instantly dirty. The paintwork also need a wipe down, the bathroom door handle has a dirty mark due to overuse which with a thorough clear would be removed. Overall I think the property needs some care and attention. The internet situation should also be mage clear, it’s not simply that there is no WiFi, but there is also no 4G or 5G signal in the property, and limited across the site, so this has a big impact on making plans for the holiday, booking activities or restaurants etc.

Chalet H1, a well-maintained ground-floor lodge located on the popular Atlantic Bays Holiday Park in Cornwall.

Just one mile from the village of St Merryn and with amenities on-site, the lodge is ideal for families who wish to spend time together in this beautiful part of Cornwall.

All ground floor, the cottage has two bedrooms and a family bathroom which can be accessed from the open-plan living area.

The living area features a well-equipped kitchen where guests can cook lovely meals to serve at the foldaway dining table, or outside on the patio.

Guests can sit back and relax on the comfortable sofas in front of the TV after a busy day at the beach or head out to the on-site facilities.

Children will love the play zone (for under twelves only) and the large playing field.

The marquee bar has a spacious decking area where guests can plan the following day's activities as the sun sets with a refreshing drink in hand.

The nearby town of Padstow is just 3 miles away, here guests can enjoy dining at celebrity-owned restaurants, take part in a number of watersports activities, or simply explore this fishing port.
