  • "Great place to stay!"

    We had no issues at all. Everything you could need is provided (dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer etc) even provided with laundry bins at the end of our stay for towels & bedding we had used. The downside is the main road where the barn is located but it didn’t really bother us as there are local bus stops and public footpaths further down the street. Would definitely return thank you

    The property was excellent everything we needed was there and the underfloor heating kept the place at the perfect temp the back garden is well kept and the hot tub was in good condition Are only issue was the neighbour who was working on his house directly outside the side window and we had to keep the curtains closed also they parked there car directly in front on the front window which caused a slight issue when exiting the property in our car

    Yes there is a little road noise but nothing too disturbing. Have stay here 3 or 4 times and we have never had any issues or non that the owners were not more than happy to help with. Would definitely stay again

  • "Extremely clean, well kitted out, modernised property."

    Postal coding address slightly confusing to find initially but good base for exploring the south west tip of the Cornwall. Good bus & train services for surrounding area if you want to ditch the car for a few days. Hot tub in good working order until storm Arwen prevented us from using it!

  • "From both the details and map location we had expected this property to be located at Little Trevean Farm."

    Even the key/ directions to property email listed the address as Little Trevean Farm. We have a border collie who is extremely reactive to traffic so we had specifically chosen a property away from a main road. As a result of being on the A394 we were unable to let her out of the cottage at all without being on a harness and lead or make use of the garden with her at all. A shame as it was a lovely garden. The traffic noise was disturbing for all of us. The bed was extremely uncomfortable with springs poking up into my back. A mattress topper had been added but made little difference. On the plus side the property was well equipped and very warm and cosy. The hot tub was a great addition but we had to use it individually so one of us could keep the dog calm. Had we not been visiting my husband's family who we had not seen for over a year I would have driven the 9 hour journey home after 1 night as this house was completely unsuitable for us and our dog. You need to change the details on this property and not list the address as being in a different location. If the map pin had shown it on a main road we would have booked something else. Absolutely False Advertising.....resulting in an extremely stressful and exhausting break.

  • "Lovely cottage in a great location."

    Having stayed three times it must be good! Only slight issue for us was the mattress was a little too soft and caused back ache, if not for that it would be five stars all the way. We have done many walks in the area including from the cottage and can safely say the road during the short distance you walk on it is ok as long as you follow the basic rules. One of our favorite cottages.

  • "The bungalow & facilities were squeaky clean & very comfortable."

    Friendly & helpful owner, on-hand if needed. A little dicey pulling out from the drive when next door has parked up (can’t be helped but just a warning as, at times it was a completely blind manoeuvre!) & would’ve been even more lovely if all the hot tub pumps had been working/turned on but totally understand as running costs must be sky high. Loved the bonus laundry shed - I’ve come home with hardly any to do!

  • "Excellent place, ignore bad reviews we stayed 2 weeks and had a great time, no issues with road noise, we had family of 4 bike rides to town, walks to beach and cove, excellent clean facilities, hot tub amazing and owners very nice."

    Very clean and well equipped with little bits like foil,sandwich bags etc and milk tea coffee and kitkats on arrival. The hot tub and outside area is great and we were blessed with amazing weather to enjoy it We met the lovely owner Dawn who was very friendly and helpful Would definitely stay here again xx

  • "It’s a nice cottage but a bit basic."

    Some nice outdoor seating with cushions would have been good. The patio is just an area of concrete so some patio pots would have softened this. Sofas are a bit tired. Grassed area of garden was great for our dog, but if you have an escape artist it’s not secure. The location is not as shown on the Google map on website. It’s on a very busy road. We are walkers and the first 200 yards to the footpath are treacherous, there is no pavement and you honestly take you life in your hands. Lorries and buses at speed are very scary. The hot tub is nice, very clean and located in full sun in the evening, making that a lovely experience. We had a week of great weather and the location for sightseeing is good.

    The owner was easy to contact and dropped off some extra bedlinen within half an hour of our arrival as there was some confusion as to how many were staying - I was really impressed with how quickly it was sorted out. It’s a lovely place and we will definitely be staying again.

    Cannot fault this property , location is perfect , although on a main road we can’t say it gave us any noise issues, dog was happy with a nice garden for him to run , if there is any gripe it’s the fact we were going to rebook for same week next year until we seen how much this property will increase, I can’t justify an increase of over £220 ☹️

    We always have a lovely holiday at bluebell barn, it’s ideally located to visit some of the wonderful places south Cornwall has to offer, The property itself Is on a busy road And the garden isn’t fully enclosed as there are several openings where small or inquisitive dogs may get out into adjacent fields

  • "No mention in property listing that it is at the side of a very busy road so lots of traffic noise 24 hours a day."

    Property also advertised books games and DVD's there were none (assumed this was due to Covid but subsequent property also booked through Sykes had these in abundance). Cushions on sofas had been removed rendering them very uncomfortable. Also after a long journey it would have been nice to have been left a pint of milk to make a drink. Lastly one toilet roll for a family of 4 for a week is a joke. Paperwork stated that within 24 hours of arrival that someone would come round to show you how to operate the hot tub. We saw no one the whole week we were there! To summarise if anyone is thinking of booking this property be prepared for the traffic noise and bring your own books games DVD's cushions and toilet roll and if you want a drink after a long journey stock up before you check in at 4pm rather than then having to go out and source milk tea or coffee.

    Firstly I would like to apologise for your disappointment with our property. You would have received an email stating the removal of many items due to covid (these are touch points which may be difficult to assure cleanliness i.e. books, games etc). As for one toilet roll, it is self catering and not down to us to provide these toiletries for a week of your stay and only last week did we reinstate the welcome pack, providing tea and coffee etc but all guests up till now have arrived prepared. Cornwall has still remained a low risk area due to our vigilance. With over 2 million visitors this season, some minor sacrifices were made to safeguard all. As for the hot tub, I have records of my checks every day and it's apparent I have missed you as you were out at the time. Once again, I apologise but I also feel, my limited facilities are just during this time and Sykes do have this policy that you would have received. Thank you very much for your comments and for taking the time to let us know your thoughts. Customer feedback is very important to help us continually improve our standards. Property Owner

  • "Bluebell Barn was just the perfect little place for our family of 4."

    We could enjoy the garden and the hot tub, but the location meant we access many of the beaches and cover within a very short time. As soon as we opened the door we could tell it was cleaned thoroughly and therefore felt safe. The owners are very friendly and gave us a great tip to visit Porthleven at high tide and stormy weather... fantastic highlight of the holiday! We didn’t want to leave after just one week as we were so relaxed, and felt like there was so much more to explore.

Resting in the quiet hamlet of Rosudgeon in the West Cornwall is this ground-floor cottage, Bluebell Barn.
