  • "Great well furnished modern property."

Nice to have an enclosed garden. Also - you know that conversation -"what this property could really do with" - none of that - it had everything ! - nice place ! Only point for me to raise - that is about the "Cottage rental market" - prices went thru the roof after Covid and not returned back. I think they ALL , well most, charge too much and will drive more back aboard !

  • "Lovely size house for a family of 6 ."

Outside shower was a lifesaver after the beach . Gardens were tidy and secure which was great . Great location for exploring. Nothing to do with the property but a heads up about the noise from building work happening very close by would of been appreciated. Luckily we spent most the time out of the house but the days we had lunch there or came back in the afternoon it wasn't peaceful at all.

  • "We had a fabulous week!"

The property was clean to a high standard and had a lovely feel about it. The owner had left us scones, clotted cream, jam and some milk which was a lovely welcoming. Having done a lot of stay-cations, we’ve collected a number of bits and bobs, like plastic cups and bowls for the children, but this property has everything you could possibly need. It’s in a fabulous location with a variety of attractions near by. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

  • "Lovely, spacious, well equipped property."

Great location for the beach. Great for my elderly, not very mobile mum and a very dog friendly property. Brilliant garden. Very peaceful. The owners appear to have thought of everything. Considering this is a dog friendly cottage, there was no trace of any dog hairs anywhere. The only thing that let it down was the cobwebs around the ceilings, this problem was particularly bad in the main bedroom and the storage area for the bed was full of dust and dirt. We hoovered these away. Remainder of the property was very clean, bedding and towels also very clean. Fabulous property and holiday and we would definitely book again and recommend to friends. Selection of tea, coffee, biscuits and lovely scones, jam and cream and milk had been left for us, which was a nice surprise. Good communication from Sykes throughout.

  • "The location of the property was very good and recommend breakfast at the Black Rock cafe."

Ideally situated for dogs. The property itself is a bit tired and the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Cobwebs from the lights and ceiling, we found hair in the bath and around the shower taps, dried on food in the back of the microwave, a clump of dog hair sandwiched between plates in the cupboard and the first time on using the shower room the plug hole was blocked and the water wouldn’t go down so we had to purchase drain unblocker to rectify the problem. We have used Sykes on a few occasions this is the first time we have been disappointed.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. I am sorry the property was not up to our standards, this is something we will be bring to the attention of our cleaning management team. If you had contacted us during your stay we would have asked them to reattend the property. Property Owner

We loved that we could walk to the beach in 5 minutes and the pub in 10. There was a little shop and 2 great cafes in walking distance too. The bungalow had lots of space, comfy beds, good showers, a quality kitchen and excellent enclosed outdoor space catching the sun all day. I tried to think if there was anything we didn't like and there wasn't; we loved it!

It was comfortable very well situated. The short walk to the beach was exactly that. The beach was lovely and perfect for our 3 dogs Cafes and shops were excellent. It’s proximity to bude and other areas like port Isaac padstow and rock meant that we had no long car journeys but were able to see some of the gems of the Cornish coast. Crackington Haven is a place best kept secret because it is so beautiful and needs to stay that way. Sunsets were stunning from Widemouth Beach. The whole family had an unforgettable holiday.

  • "Senafe is a great holiday home."

I booked it for its appealing colourful modern interior and close location to beaches. Usually I go for remote country cottages so this was a novelty for us. We had a great week despite mostly wet weather. The only slight disappointment was the lack of heart or soul to the living room. The little wood burner will create a cosier feel but we didn't feel the need for it. The house is lovely and warm. Comfortable and spacious. Easy to see the attraction to new visitors and why so many either return or plan to. We won't be going back but will recommend Senafe to larger groups of family and friends. Plenty of space for a big group with the two really good bathrooms.

  • "We had a great stay at Senafe."

The property is very comfortable and the location is excellent, just a few minutes from the amazing dog friendly beach. Our two dogs enjoyed chasing their ball around the safe, enclosed garden and also paddling in the sea. Most of the local shops are dog friendly too which was a bonus. The weather was pretty extreme, due to the storms, but we managed to visit nearby Tintagel and Boscastle as well as Bude. The bad weather meant we had to stay home more that usual and whilst we made use of the great facility to sign in to Netflix etc. we were disappointed that there was nothing else in the property that we usually like to find, such as books or games ( despite being mentioned in the house guide pack). There were quite a number of other items listed which were not there also, such as dog blankets;first aid kit; dvds and no guest book to pass comments back. We appreciate that this might be something related to Covid, but if so, it could be mentioned in the house guide so that people can pack these things. We had a lovely holiday (sadly cut short by the red weather alert) and would definitely return to Senafe and this lovely area of Cornwall.

Thank you for your feedback. The owners will be visiting the property in the coming weeks and returning some of the items that were removed due to COVID. - The Cornish Cottage Holidays Team. Property Owner

It's five minutes walk to the beach/cafe across the dunes. You do have to walk along the road for a few minutes but it was very quiet (out of season) with good visibility and plenty of driveways to tuck into. The house was great. Very spacious. Set on one floor, the accommodation has a nautical, coastal vibe with a good sized living/dining room for social gatherings for relaxation and good food, with wood burner for extra cosiness.

The kitchen is smart with all mod cons and the little conservatory is a sunspot to retreat to with a book.

Enjoy restful slumber in the three comfortable bedrooms.

About the location

WIDEMOUTH BAY

Bude 3 miles; Tintagel 16.6 miles

On the outskirts of Bude, this small coastal hamlet looks out over one of the area’s top surfing beaches. Famous for its rugged coastline, tumbling surf and excellent walking, it’s the place to relax and unwind. Lively Bude, with its town, beaches, clubs, pubs and resort attractions is 3 miles away, while to the north the Coast Path winds its way over the cliff tops toward the lonely lighthouse at Hartland Point, and on to the beautiful cliff side village of Clovelly. Take the main ‘Atlantic Highway’ north from Bude and you’ll also pass the Big Sheep and Milky Way theme parks, both great days out. If you love the countryside but don’t want to be too far from the holiday action, this is the place to stay.
