  • "Our return visit to Carpenters Cabin didn’t disappoint."

This was our second week at Carpenters Cabin this year, having stayed there in March. We were very fortunate to have an excellent week’s weather therefore were able to sit out on the veranda to enjoy dinks in the sunshine in its lovely peaceful setting. The cabin was still spotlessly clean and we were welcomed with another pack of goodies from the helpful owners Michelle and Wayne. We would have no hesitation in recommending Carpenter Cabin to our friends as its in a great position to explore Cornwall and may well return again in the future.

  • "Ideal base for day trips."

Very clean throughout and maintained. Despite having an open space kitchen, the snug room was a bonus. Convenient parking space at entrance. Owner Michelle was very approachable with any quiries and also left us a welcome pack to start us off. Impressive cabin all round. Wouldn't hesitate to return in future.

  • "Carpenters Cabin is far more than its name would suggest."

It’s a little gem of a holiday home tucked away in a lovely quiet setting away from the road. The cabin which was spotlessly clean. has a bright open plan kitchen and dining area complete with a TV. But it also has a lovely separate cosy ‘snug’ that has an electrically adjustable sofa where you can watch a second TV in total comfort. A good sized bedroom and spacious bathroom complete this well designed cabin. It’s very helpful owners Michelle and Wayne, who live on site, provided a comprehensive welcome pack of goodies! It is ideally positioned for visiting both North and South Cornwall and we are looking forward to returning soon, as we have another booking in June.

  • "Idealy situated, to travel North, South, East or West."

Just a perfect spot. Easy to pop to Aldi or M & S. A very private comfortable cabin, and spotless. The welcome pack was a nice touch. Thank you to our friendly host. We would definitely recommend, and visit again. John and Jean

  • "A very pleasant place to stay until a petrol crisis comes along."

As its quite remote compared with staying in a town you will need your own transport. There is no bus service and its a long walk on a narrow road into Redruth. The petrol shortage ruined our holiday and we left to go home early before our tank ran dry. The chalet is well appointed and comfortable, the owners are very pleasant and helpful. If we stayed again we would take our electric bicycles. My preference would be to have a dishwasher in rented accommodation .

  • "Our stay at Carpenters Cabin has been brilliant, we did not want to leave!"

! Look forward to returning in the future. The owner of the cabin introduced herself upon arrival and gathered a welcome pack that was so helpful with us not having stayed in the area before. The cabins location is perfect as it is quite and rural but also half way between Newquay and St Ives (25 mins drive) which was great for me and my partner as these are the areas we planned on visiting, the walks near the cabin were beautiful and very handy that there is an Aldi located less than 5 mins away in the car. Thank you very much for our stay at I will be recommending back at home for future stays in Cornwall.

  • "The accommodation was 1st class."

..away from the world and first impression was fabulous....a modern cabin in an idlic position ....everything on one level and all accessible...a large open plan kitchen and a good size bathroom...the bedroom was compact and had plenty of hanging space....the garden included a carpark space but still enough to use....the owners were always on hand and were available if needed....in all I would visit again if there was a booking available.... Many Thanks to you both...
