  • "Lovely house."

Perfect location, so much to do within 45min drive. Best hot tub we have used in a holiday home. Loved the America style fridge freezer with ice machine. Very pleasant hosts. Even managed some hilly runs. Can’t fault it really!!

  • "The Granary is a beautiful, spacious, well equipped home with all the facilities to cater for a family holiday in any weather."

We were lucky to have a sunny week to enjoy both the north and south coast of east Cornwall, which has much to offer! Nick and Bernie were helpful and considerate hosts, keen to make sure we had a good time. Definitely recommend this home for a Cornwall adventure.

  • "A very relaxing holiday with friends in a superb cottage, that more than catered for everything we needed, it’s a credit for owners Nick and Bernie."

  • "On arrival we were greeted with fresh scones cream and prosecco which was a great welcome after a long journey."

The house was immaculate and super clean. The photos of the property are lovely but do not do it justice. The property was a lot bigger in real life. Everything was well equipped and thought of and we loved the reclining sofas, hot tub and super comfortable beds. There was a large fridge freezer which was great as there were 8 of us to feed. Location was remote so you felt relaxed but close enough to lots of attractions. Highly recommend Trethorne Leisure for a super fun family day out as well as the Launceston steam train and castle and Widemouth Bay beach and Bude about 30mins away. We will definitely be returning - thank you so much for an incredible stay - we wish we had booked 2 weeks! Shelley and family - from Kent

  • "The Granary is a stunning place to stay with 4 amazing and spacious bedrooms with very comfortable beds."

So much space, amazing garden with a lovely sized hot tub and with everything you could think of, you don’t need to worry about forgetting anything as it is already there! Bernie & Nick are really lovely, friendly & helpful. On arrival we saw Bernie who had left home made scones with jam & cream (which were delicious) along with milk and Prosecco! You certainly don’t get that in many places! The accommodation was very clean, nicely decorated and has some lovely finishing touches. The location is great, we went to lots of different seaside towns including Tintagel and Boscastle. Everywhere we went was between 30 & 40 minute drive which we didn’t think was bad at all and we always loved coming back to spend the evening at the cottage, mostly in the garden as we were very lucky with the weather. We were very lucky to be there for the lighting of the beacons night to start off the jubilee weekend. For this night we went to the local pub where they had a BBQ and garden games for the kids. The lighting of the beacon was followed by some lovely fireworks. This was all with the locals and it was a great atmosphere. All in all we had an amazing stay, none of us wanted to leave and would 100% go back again. You will not regret booking The Granary for your stay in Cornwall.

  • "We had a wonderful stay and the cottage is beautiful."

One thing that isn’t on the listing is how well stocked it is, hairdryer, foil, washing up bits, dishwasher tablets, coffee pods, ect. The washing machine and drying was very useful for drying swim wear after a dip in the hot tub. The fresh baked scones on arrival were wonderful. It was such a peaceful stay. The cottage is finished to a very high standard and maintained that way. Would highly recommend, great location as you can go to everywhere from it.

  • "Fabulous cottage, I couldn’t fault anything."

Great welcome from the owners with flowers, wine and a homemade cake. Would highly recommend this property if you are looking for a beautiful, quiet location with a real home from home feel. Note to admin, please change the directions to say turn second left into the property. It was dark when we arrived and this caused confusion.

Thank you for your feedback. We have now amended the directions. Thanks for bringing this to our attention! - The Owner Relations Team. Property Owner

  • "An absolutely fantastic property maintained to a very high standard."

Very comfortable for the adults, and plenty of space for the children to play. We had a really enjoyable week here with friends and family .. spending some days just enjoying time at the property and others exploring the moors and beaches nearby. Location offers the perfect compromise of privacy in a rural location, with the benefits of shops, parks etc in Launceston just a few minutes drive away. Very highly recommended, and we’ll definitely return

  • "Fantastic property, so comfortable and generously provisioned (there was even a foil turkey baking tray)."

4 families, 3 with young children, altogether for Christmas for the first time. A very memorable holiday, we'd love to come back during summer. Nick & Bernie, our hosts were just lovely, thank you for the welcoming vase of flowers, bubbly & truffles and sorry again for leaving so much rubbish!!

  • "This is a beautiful holiday let, fitted out to an extremely high standard, and really well equipped."

There is a huge double bedroom on the first floor, where you will also find the kitchen, very spacious lounge diner, cloakroom, rear garden and hot tub. On the ground floor off the spacious entrance hall, you will find a double bedroom with ensuite, a twin or double room, a family bathroom, and another double bedroom with ensuite and TV. 8 of us stayed and had a brilliant time! Won't hestitate to book this again for family trips to this area.

  • "We were greeted by the friendly owners with a beautiful cream tea and more importantly, a welcoming smile."

Although we didn't intend on asking for anything, we got the impression we could have which was very reassuring. The property itself was lovely and clean to a high standard which was particularly reassuring to some of our group who would normally opt for mainstream branded accommodation elsewhere had there been anything local. The kitchen was stocked with everything possible to enable self catering (aside from bunny tins for Yorkshire Puddings for anyone planning on making a home roast). The lounge was comfy with a smart tv making for comfy nights in being able to access our film subscriptions. The dining area even came with a cupboard stocked with games. It was like having the comforts of our own homes with us. The hot tub a wonderful bonus. We also found a drawer with the instruction manuals to all the appliances. The only thing we would improve on was knowing that... but then we didn't ask either! We definitely intend to book again and will recommend to others. Thank you to our gracious hosts.

Only thing they could do with is a broom! Owners were friendly and chatty, giving information on the local area and places to go. They also left organic eggs, prosecco and scones and cream!
