The property

Positioned overlooking meadows and countryside, with views stretching across the Tamar Valley towards the rolling hills of Dartmoor, this superb detached holiday home is situated on Honicombe Manor Holiday Park, near the Cornish village of Callington.

With a spacious and tastefully furnished interior and full use of the park leisure facilities including a heated indoor swimming pool, tennis courts and gym, this wonderful house makes the perfect base for friends and families to explore this scenic region, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at any time of year.

Set in an enviable position backing onto meadows and woodland, the countryside vista ever changing across the seasons, Dartmoor View has been totally refurbished including a remodeled fitted kitchen and bathrooms.

Dartmoor National Park is easily accessible and a walker paradise with footpaths and bridleways crisscrossing undulating moorland and green valleys.

The scenic Tamar Valley is well known for its beauty and ideal for exploring on foot.

For days out, head to the coast to the seaside village of Looe or the beaches of Whitsand Bay.

Within a short drive the National Trust Tudor house and valley gardens of Cotehele, set above the River Tamar or for families enjoy the scenic train journey from Gunnislake to the maritime city of Plymouth where you can enjoy a picnic on The Hoe, stroll through the historic cobbled streets of The Barbican and visit the National Marine Aquarium. GUNNISLAKE

Tavistock 5 miles; Plymouth 18 miles.

The small rural village of Gunnislake lies on the steeply wooded banks of the River Tamar. It has village pubs and a small selection of shops. Notably, the village sits at one end of the scenic Tamar Valley Railway - with regular services along the river bank to Plymouth. The area is perfect for exploring Dartmoor, the south and north coast beaches and the attractions of Cornwall’s far west. Close to hand, the Dartmoor town of Tavistock with its pannier market, pubs and restaurants is a must, as well as the popular fishing village of Calstock, renowned for its crafts and festivals, while the Donkey Sanctuary and Cotehele House and Gardens (NT) are just 10 minutes away. Enjoy a round of golf at St Mellion (8 miles), explore the restored Victorian mining village at Morwhellam Quay (4 miles), search for otters and deer along the Tamar Valley footpath, visit the National Trust owned Lydford Gorge, or take a trip to the beach and picturesque harbour at Looe (25 miles) - there’s something for everyone. For something really different, why not ride the scenic Tamar Valley Railway into Plymouth and spend the day in the fabulous Marine Aquarium or strolling the historic Plymouth Hoe?
