Tye Farm

Occupying a quiet private location yet just a short walk from the amenities of Trewoon, is Tye Farm. This pretty group of cottages, embracing strong colours, bright prints and the owners’ flair for design have been furnished to a good standard throughout providing welcoming accommodation. You're welcome to explore the 4.8 surrounding acres of natural grounds and woodlands, as well as to enjoy the ornamental ponds and gardens. A fabulous heated swimming pool (available May half term to end Sept) with a sunny terrace is the perfect spot to enjoy a fun filled afternoon. These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 12 guests. Trewoon is on the western fringes of St Austell, where you'll find a town centre with both independent and well-known shops, a state of the art cinema and a Local Produce Market that takes place every Friday and Saturday. There is also a collection of restaurants, cafes and inns, from traditional country pubs to fine dining in the immediate area. The iconic Eden Project, award-winning Lost Gardens of Heligan, Shipwreck museum at Charlestown, and ancient fishing harbour at Mevagissey are all within a very short drive. With so much to do both onsite and nearby, Tye Farm provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of life and the ideal location to make some glorious holiday memories.

Enter to a bright and homely sitting room with exposed beams and colourful soft furnishings, a neat kitchen with everything you could need and a separate dining room with glass doors overlooking the gardens – perfect for enjoying a hearty meal or enjoying quality family time.

On the first floor, you will find three good sized bedrooms with lofty ceilings open to the rafters.

Choose from two double rooms, one with its own en-suite shower room or a twin.

To the front, the cottage has its own private sitting out area with table and chairs in the courtyard, whilst at the rear, there's a large lawned garden and summer house shared with the neighbouring cottage (Monkey Manor 1078542).

During the summer months you can enjoy a cooling dip, some family fun or leisurely exercise in the shared outdoor swimming pool.

Charlestown 2 miles; Carlyon Bay 3 miles; Mevagissey 6 miles; Fowey 8 miles.

The old market town of St Austell, just a mile or two from the south coast, is famous as the historic centre of the china clay mining industry. Today, its many beaches and its sub-tropical gardens provide plenty to see and do. The wonderful Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project are perfect for a family day out, and a little further afield Caerhays Castle provides a stunning backdrop to Porthluny Cove. On the edge of town, St Austell Brewery offers tours of the Victorian brewing equipment and a chance to sample the local beer, and for those looking for surf and sand, St Austell Bay has several beaches to choose from - Porthpean, Carlyon Bay, Pentewan, Polkerris - the last offering a variety of water-sports. As well as a small shingle beach, Charlestown, a pretty, historic port, often has wooden sailing ships in the harbour, and is popular as a film location. A little further afield are Fowey and its beautiful estuary to the east and the fishing port of Mevagissey to the west. With lots to do and something to keep the whole family entertained, St Austell is a great year-round destination.
