  • "A great property with a well matched description."

Lovely and bright and clean. Some small details as were a family of six with three growing hungry teenagers! The kitchen is a little smaller than it looks in the photos and some larger saucepans and utilities for 6 could be added. Missed a wooden spoon and a few things like that with no dishwasher a few more tea towels and cleaning sponges etc. There's not space for food storage so maybe one extra unit somewhere. Small points, as not everyone is feeding for six. We do think the blinds weren't effective on the old style veluxes and a long term investment might be to upgrade these windows with proper velux blinds. There was only one washing machine on the go in the laundry room and not two but looks like there had been a flood so maybe that is being addressed. Other than that it was all great and we enjoyed the outdoor spaces, the new shower was brilliant and needed, the beds were super comfortable with lovely clean linen etc. I also wanted to bring the sofa home! Thanks again, The Denwoods.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. It is always appreciated. So glad you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately you visited just after a pipe had burst and we have been in the process of rectifying that, including the addition of a further washing machione and tumble drier in the laundry area. WE will take on board your feedback to see what further inprovements can be made. Look forward to seeing you again. Property Owner

  • "Property was immaculate- clean and very well furbished and was 100% as advertised."

This is a fantastic base for your holiday - location meant that driving was a necessity- not a problem us but there aren't any local shops/facilities within walking distance. Property is pretty large and layout is duplex - downstairs lounge and outside space which we loved. Second bathroom would have been handy as it sleeps 6 but a fantastic property overall - would recommend.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It really is appreciated. We thnk it's ideally placed for so much that Cornwall has to offer. Property Owner

  • "A beautiful place to stay, very comfortable and so well set up."

A thoughtful welcome pack of bread, milk, tea, coffee, sugar and even a box of Cornish biscuits was lovely. Family games and books are available in the lounge area, very handy on a wet afternoon too. Would highly recommend this place, and was sad we were only there for a short 3 day visit this time!

Thank you for your comments. We are pleased you enjoyed stay, although just a short visit. We hope to see you again and are able to stay longer next time. Property Owner

The West Dry Accommodation

The West Dry Accommodation consists of six marvellous holiday homes resting on the outskirts of Roche, Cornwall. Formerly known as part of Great Wheal Prosper, a working clay dry, it has been converted into this fantastic collection of lettings you see today. As you can see, this group of properties enjoy a great deal of character, whilst also boasting TVs, access to a communal utility, ample off-road parking and their own private patios. Nearby, Roche Rock, an attraction that seems like an abandoned prop from the set of the court of King Arthur, rises dramatically from the china clay terrain to the north of St Austell. When you see the destroyed fifteenth-century church that sits on its flat summit, the mystery surrounding this tall, nearly cuboidal lump of granite is considerably heightened. When it comes to your amenities, there is a convenience store in Roche village, along with a newsagents, post office, pharmacy and hairdressers, takeaways, pasty shop, butchers and a grocery. If you're looking to treat your loved ones to a meal out, The Victoria Inn can be found just outside Roche and The Bugle Inn rests, as its name suggests, in nearby Bugle; both offer hearty meals and local ale. Be sure to venture to St Austell for an outing, with its additional amenities, along with access to the shores of Duporth, Porthpean and Carlyon Bay, St Austell Brewery and the St Austell Golf Club. There is a wealth of attractions settled within easy reach, the most notable being The Eden Project just a short drive away. The other attractions range from the Wheal Martyn Museum, Bodmin Jail and The Lost Garden of Heligan to the National Trust's Lanhydrock House, Camel Creek Adventure Park and Dairyland Farm Park; there is truly so much to see here. A fantastic stay that is brimming with history, choose The West Dry Accommodation.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £150.
