  • "We had such a lovely stay at Borah Lodge."

It's in a beautiful, peaceful location with stunning views close to local shops, restaurants and amenities and a short walk to Lamorna Cove which is very scenic and has a nice cafe. The lodge is quaint and cosy and had everything we needed plus some very thoughtful touches including a cream tea, fudge and cold ciders. The hot tub was the highlight. Would highly recommend and would love to visit again.

  • "Beautiful lodge, very clean and fully equipped."

Lots of lovely homely touches, on the edge of working farm which had no impact on our stay. Owners are very nice people who completely respected our privacy , also helpful and friendly. Would have no hesitation in recommending Borah Lodge. Local area is beautiful, lots to see, if you have a dog, the beach at Long Rock Beach walking toward Penzance is dog friendly and a nice walk. Cafe at Lamorna Cove very nice indeed. Mousehole always beautiful.

The hot tub was put to good use especially after some of the coast walks. Short walks to the pub and the cafe at the local cove. If you want a dog friendly beach, gwynver beach is a short drive away the walk down to the beach is fairly steep in places but worth it.

Just wanted to mention that the window in the living room next to the TV seemed to leak when it was raining, just wanted to mention so it can be fixed! Other than that all good things to say.

Everything was very clean and had clearly been thoroughly disinfected prior to our arrival. There were delicious scones, jam and cream waiting for us, along with fresh milk, which were very welcome touches above and beyond what we would have expected. The hot-tub was superb, every bit as enjoyable as anticipated, and the cover meant that we did not have to worry about the weather when we were making use of it! Would definitely recommend this lodge to anyone, fantastic place to stay, great location, everything was in very easy reach!

The lodge isn’t to far away from Penzance which has quite a few shops an arcade, boat trips, and about 30 mins drive from Stives, A great shopping place called Truro with Superdrug, super dry etc, which is about an hour which isn’t bad at all, There are plenty of places to go within driving distance! We will definitely be back! Sad to be home back to reality :( thank you so much to the owners for our perfect stay.

Close to Lamorna Cove, which is a very nice and pleasant Cove, wonderful for relaxing. The friendly Lamorna Pottery nearby offered a nice place for a cream tea or a light meal. • "Borah Lodge was absolutely wonderful."

Everything we wanted and needed! The lodge is set on a working farm, is tucked away in the corner and feels private. It’s exactly as described and was cosy and warm. On arrival, the lodge was extremely clean and tidy. There was scones, jam and cream waiting for us and they were delicious! Harvey and coco, the farm spaniels are so sweet and friendly, we loved having them around to visit us! The hot tub is so relaxing and was much needed after a long day walking across the coastal paths. The lodge is situated in the best place possible for exploring south Cornwall. Mousehole and Penzance are about 15 mins away and Newlyn is a 5/10 min drive. It’s the best place for fish and chips! St Ives is about 30 mins away and the amazing Kynance Cove and Lizard point is an hour away but well worth the drive. If you have a dog, Porth Kidney is the best beach around Highly recommend the Lake Side Cabin Cafe in Lelant for cream tea. The biggest and best cream tea and cakes we have ever had!! Overall, great location, relaxing, clean, tidy and exactly what we needed. Thank you!

It’s well situated to get around local attractions and peaceful when you get back. We took dressing gowns with us to walk to and from the hot tub, which was perfect to sit in at the end of the day. The dogs enjoyed walking down to the cove, to the local standing stones and some of the right of ways available. We will definitely come back, also thank you for the milk and cream teas waiting for us when we got there. Can not recommend this lodge enough.

Freezer in out building. So if raining bad get soaked going to it needs bit more outside lighting for when going to hot tub as have to go down steps which can be slippery Also could do with plastic glasses to use outside or in hot tub Very remote so if you want a quiet time which we did it’s ideal

  • "We had such a lovely break, perfect location for walking the coast path."

However beware the walk to mousehole is over boulders and if to try to go to the lighthouse dont go via Lamorna unless you are less than a size 14 as you wont get through those boulders!! Instead go via the fields! There was a cream tea waiting for us, which after a long drive was wonderful! The only thing that would have been better for us would have been an enclosed garden as our rescue dogs are not well trained!. However that will not put us off going again, fingers crossed, next year

  • "We had a lovely time at Borah Lodge."

The hosts were there if we needed them but left us to our own devices. The lodge itself is everything we expected and more. The bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever experienced away from home, the lodge was beautifully warm, the hot tub awesome as it is undercover so when it rained we could still use it. We were met with fresh scones, jam, cream, tea, coffee, sugar and milk which was very thoughtful and much appreciated. When booking this lodge I did have reservations about the two chairs in the front room instead of a sofa as my husband and I like to cuddle up when watching TV. We needn’t have worried as the chairs were very comfortable and when pushed together we still felt close. Tv in the front room and bedroom were a good size and we moved the DVD player from front room to the bedroom when needed. Only draw back is that most things are a good 40 mins to hour drive away but we knew that when we booked. Fantastic lodge in every way!

  • "Excellent choice."

Margaret from Borah lodge rang me before we travelled to say that the hot tub was awaiting a part and wasn’t expected for 10 days. However they had delivery of a Lay-z spa to replace it and gave us the option to have a look online at the model they had purchased , and to cancel if we weren’t happy. The replacement was excellent so we had the hot tub we wanted and a wonderful week. Lovely family, very friendly and helpful.
