“This was a perfect cottage for an October Half term break for a family of three and a dog.”
Very handy for Newquay, Padstow and all the lovely beaches in between. Cottage is small but perfectly well equipped. We had a lovely week.

“The cottage was slightly damp.”
Off road parking was very narrow and tricky and the garden was a tiny patio area, shared access and not enclosed if you are taking a dog.- Mr Firth, August 2020
“Cottage was lovely and clean and exactly as described.”
A nice feel to it and the welcome gift of covid cleaning gels was a nice touch.- Mr Parkin, July 2020
“A fab bolt hole for our holiday in Cornwall - traditional yet beautifully modern, very clean and cosy.”
However, I did search for a fire place on the Home and Away listings to be greeted with no fire! It had obviously been taken out. With the colder weather at this time of year, we do look forward to a fire/log burner in the evenings so I was a little disappointed. Also the parking - this was extremely tight to manoeuvre into being on the main high street, having cars parked on one side of the road, the only option is to reverse park which proved to be quite stressful, especially at night time. If we had known we would have taken my mini! This isn’t to say the cottage is a beautiful little place, perfect for a family of 3 or a couple, with local amenities on your door step and a short drive from most things.- Mr Netherton, October 2019
“This cottage was ideal for us, situated close to beach’s and other attractions.”
Off road parking. It was so clean and cosy. Had everything needed for our stay. Would highly recommend.- Miss Seagrave, August 2019
“The cottage was great and is within driving distance to the beaches that we wanted to explore, I would note that the outside area for a dog is quite limited as there is no garden it’s more of a patio area.”- Miss Hunt, June 2019
Pocket Cottage rests in the sleepy market town of St. Columb Major, surrounded by rich, Cornish countryside and with the whole of the north coastline waiting to be explored nearby.
This is the ideal holiday let for a small family of three, a couple or a group of friends looking to get away and tour a sought-after part of the country.
The exposed beams and stone walls add to the wonderful character of the cottage, allowing you to experience a cosy, home-from-home feel on return from one of the many walks to be had in the local area.
You have all the necessities required to cook up a home-made meal in the kitchen, and you can get together around the dining table to discuss the events from the day before unwinding on the sofa.
Climb the staircase at the end of a tiresome day and find a double room overlooking the front street, followed by a single room and well-appointed shower room.
This characterful abode comes with a private, off-road parking space and you have many useful amenities to hand within the town.
Enjoy a day trip to one of the sandy beaches, the zoo or sea life centre at Newquay, home to a fantastic surf scene, with the rolling waves crashing against the shores, creating a thriving, coastal atmosphere.
Browse the shops and dine at one of the many eateries before discovering all the delights of the South West Coast Path, which winds its way over dramatic cliffs and enjoys spectacular landscape scenery.
