  • "Lovely property, Very comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean."

I was a bit concerned as one review mentioned a dangerous drop from the side of the house to the road, this is not the case, the property is very safe unless you climb up on the wall and if you're taking children, supervise them. The only thing we would have liked is some garden furniture (maybe a couple of loungers) to relax in as the weather was great. Would highly recommend this property.

  • "We had a brilliant week at Trevean."

Loved the cottage. Very well equipped and comfortable. Ideal for us as we have family in the area and we have just booked it again.

  • "The is a very deep step to the side patio door and two steps to the front door."

Neither was mentioned in the listing. I emailed Sykes to ask about access before booking but did not receive a reply. I may not have booked had I known.

  • "Our second visit to Trevean and loved it again!"

A few nice additions from last year like the window frosting, microwave and bath mat. The property is clean and well maintained. The beds, pillows etc are so comfy. Trispen provides a central base to reach both coasts and is so close to Truro. Had some food deliveries which was fab! The kitchen is very well stocked with crockery and utensils. We loved the games room and the wood burner! Thank you for the welcome pack. Cleaning products like an anti-bac spray and toilet cleaner would be useful. A few starter logs too. We thank you again for a wonderful stay and am sure we will be back again next year!

  • "The cottage is perfect for adults however if I had known prior to the day of arrival that there is a minimum 7ft drop from the path leading round the property onto the road and the rear garden is unusable due to the LPG tanks located within we would not have booked this cottage with 2 small children and feel that we have been misled."

A further concern is the various CCTV points pointing at the property. However it has all that you would required in terms of facilities and the locations is fabulous.

We are sorry to hear that the property did not meet your expectations. We would however disagree that you were misled as we did not mention a garden in our description of Trevean. We have young children ourselves and have endeavoured to make the property as family friendly as possible. There is a walled border between the path and the road and we have written a safety note in our welcome manual for guests not to climb on this wall. In the rear garden there is one LPG tank located in the far corner, but there is also a patio area with bistro table and a small lawn for guests to enjoy. The CCTV cameras are all located outside of the property and are directed at the front gate, rear gate and side access points and these are purely there to monitor the property when it is unoccupied. All three cameras are in privacy mode when occupied by our guests meaning that nothing can be viewed or recorded. Aside from the outside area we hope you enjoyed Trevean and it’s beautiful surroundings. Property Owner

  • "Really wonderful clean cottage."

Easy parking. Big steps into the propert and into the cottage. Perhaps Slightly trickier for older folk. But very user friendly on the inside. Very clean, well presented. Could have done with a few more kitchen dishes to put food in, but we’ll equipped for families and children. Lovely cottage. Highly recommend.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay at Trevean."

Location is great as it was a central base to everywhere we went. The games room is a great addition to the property. We used it every night. Loved the property, the kitchen was lovely. Beds were comfortable. The whole property is beautifully decorated. Would definitely come back to Trevean if we visited Cornwall again and would highly recommend. The only heads up I would say to anyone planning on staying here is you will need to buy your own 'basics' like toilet roll, kitchen towel, wipes, disinfectant spray, salt, pepper, sugar, tea, coffee etc. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

  • "We had an amazing stay at Trevean."

The property is exactly as listed - it was spacious, comfortable and had everything you needed for a wonderful stay. It is centrally located in Cornwall so easy to get to the north or south coast. Truro is a couple of miles away and has all the supermarkets you need. The place itself we loved the pool table and the air hockey and it provided hours of entertainment for us. The kitchen space was amazing with lots of worktop space and storage. The oven heated up really quickly and is better than the one we have at home!! It was well equipped with lots of cutlery, crockery and glasses that you would need for your stay. The beds and pillows were absolutely comfortable. We made use of the wood burner and the underfloor heating was a lovely bonus. The bathroom is lovely, space for all your sprays/gels. In addition to this, the shower is great, lots of pressure. We will definitely return back to this property and we thank Joe and Claire for letting us share their beautiful home- thank you.

Location good base for lots of places to visit and really enjoyed the games room. A microwave would have made it top marks all round, I’d also recommend you take your own towel as they’re pretty small, but overall great holiday, thanks
