  • "For the amount of money that we paid for this apartment, we would have expected comfy beds."

    The mattresses at this apartment were the hardest, most uncomfortable mattresses we have ever had to sleep on! We also felt that the outside space was listed cleverly. It said that there was outside space but failed to say that there wasn't any private space - I expected a small garden especially for the price. The car parking space was also very small. It was very difficult to turn our car around when there were other cars in the car park, also having to avoid the boulders. Other small things, like a broken tap in the kitchen and the shower that splashed onto the bathroom floor unless you were very careful.

  • "Whilst the location of the holiday let was great and the property was very clean and everything was brand new."

    We felt that the holiday let was missing a few finishing touches and important items. For example it would've been great to have a coffee machine or cafetiere fruit bowl, tin foil, salt and pepper, cheese grater and a few extra toilet rolls. There was no lamp in the living room so we had to switch on the spot lights which were too bright when watching TV on a evening. There was very little guest information that provided information on the facilities and local area which I feel could be improved. Having said all that we had a great holiday but felt it was worthwhile passing on these minor issues so that they can be considered for future guests.

  • "Excellent location for numerous beaches Short wall to bus stop for popping back and to Padstow."

    Last bus 10pm Immaculate and great wifi and the all important washing machine is very handy. And a local pub a two minute walk away the Ring o bells. All in all a great holiday

  • "Wonderful accommodation with all you need for a relaxing family holiday."

    Very comfortable living room space, and bedrooms with TVs in all. Modern bathroom with powerful shower. Great fully equipped kitchen. Situated in a peaceful location with plenty of parking spaces. Not located just a walk to the beach, however that wasn't issue. Perfectly located to explore both sides of the Camel River: Padstow, Rock, Polzeath, Port Isaac, Harlyn, and Treyarnon etc.. Some great restaurants nearby in particular The Old Mill House in Little Petherick. Tesco , Aldi , and great fishmongers Off the Hook, just round the corner in Wadebridge. Would definitely stay there again.

  • "The apartment was lovely and clean and spacious but all the beds were so hard."

    None of us slept well. We even tried sleeping on the floor as the beds were so Uncomfy (especially the single beds) but that was worse. They were literally rock hard. They could do also with getting some curtains as the light blinds they have don’t darken the room at all so you are woken up as soon as the sun comes up. The notices were helpful on the walls for instruction on bins etc but I would say they need rewording as they sound quite aggressive. I appreciate some people don’t follow rules but as a family we do so the wording came across badly. It was a good base to explore that part of Cornwall but I would say to mention in the description that it’s quite remote and there is no shop etc that you can walk to. The nearest is 2 miles away and if you do go for a walk there are no pavements so young families with buggies might need to be aware. Shame as it was a lovely apartment.

  • "The whole experience of booking and the lovely accommodation was brilliant."

    The description of Wren was spot on and we shall definitely book with Sykes cottages again. There even was a pint of fresh milk in fridge on arrival. Also it was covid friendly which I was a bit concerned about but need not of worried. Thankyou very much.

  • "If you have looked for somewhere to stay in the area you will already know how beautiful North Cornwall is !"

    If you have chosen to stay here you have made an excellent choice ! The property is ideally situated to visit favourite places or explore new ones. Everything you could need on a stay away from home has been thought of and catered for. As its a new build its spacious, light and airy.The decor is lovely and we felt so comfortable and relaxed there. We would defiantly stay again but book early as once more people discover these lovely holiday homes we are sure they will go quickly !

  • "To say this flat has a garden is a stretch of the imagination."

    A bench outside the entrance in a very small paved area is not a garden in my opinion. And it’s not private.

Padstow is situated at the head of the Camel Cycle Trail and is a fantastic base for exploring the South West Coastal Path which opens up routes to beautiful Cornish countryside. This delightful fishing port is surrounded by sandy beaches and offers many opportunities to taste the locally sourced produce in celebrity owned establishments. Padstow has something for everyone with watersports, walking, cycling and fishing, you can even take a trip on a local fisherman’s boat! The excellent surfing beaches of Harlyn and Constantine are ideal for safe family fun, and Constantine Bay is also home to a golf course, just a few miles away, while a passenger ferry across the river from Padstow to Rock takes you to the beach at Daymer Bay.
