Beach Retreat is located in the Downalong area, the old part of St. Ives, just twenty yards from the beautiful safe and sandy Porthmeor beach.
This traditional south-facing granite cottage enjoys a quiet location along a small walkway and is light and airy in the summer and warm and sheltered in the winter.
The cottage is approached from the front up a few granite steps with a handrail and you enter into the comfortable sitting room, which is on the middle floor.
Upstairs from here, are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with adult bunk beds.
Downstairs from the sitting room is the kitchen and dining area leading to the shower room and WC, whilst the rear door is also on this level.
From the cottage it is level, easy walking distances to the town, all beaches, restaurants, harbour, coastal path, bus and train stations.
There is plenty to see and do in and around St Ives with a choice of four top beaches, a world-renowned gallery, a leading museum and sculpture garden, pavement cafes, ancient historic pubs and top restaurants, making sure it has something for everybody.
A maze of cobbled streets and fisherman’s cottages adds to the character of the charming town.
St Ives has won plenty of awards, such as Britain’s best family holiday destination and one of the best top ten European beach destinations.
Apart from many lazy days spent on the beach make sure you take time out to enjoy a boat trip out from the harbour to see the seals playing in the sea and sunbathing on the rocks.
A short drive away takes you to the towns of Hayle and Penzance with more golden sandy beaches, and a trip to Land's End is a must for a great day out.
Beach Retreat is a great property in an outstanding location for a superb holiday at any time of year.
