  • "This is the third time we have stayed at this property."

It was as with previous years wonderful and especially so as St Ives treated us to six days of continuous sun and warm weather. The property itself was clean, well maintained with the facilities required to keep a child with various tablets and game consoles connected. The host as with prior years checked in to see if we were happy on the day of arrival and was generally very accomodating. Our only constructive feedback is with the rise of electric vehicles that the property may benefit from the installation of a charger at some point. The Sykes service continues to be frictionless..

Thank you for revisiting for the third time. We installed 3 electric chargers over the winter to the larger houses, and hope to do Godrevy over this winter. Godrevy's fuse box is not so accommodating to providing an outside ev point close to the cars. It will take a little more planning. Thanks. Property Owner

The view from the balcony is amazing and having parking is a real plus point. We will definitely stay here again!

  • "A thoroughly enjoyable weeks break with a warm welcome from Liz the owner."

Godrevy has all that you want - a stylish charm and contemporary facilities that quickly envelop you and make you feel completely at home. The view across the bay to Godrevy lighthouse was a constant joy and the position of the property in St Ives made access both to and from the town a breeze. As two older couples we made use of the excellent bus service from the huge leisure centre car park at the top of the town. Stay there - you're in for a real treat.

  • "We all had such a wonderful holiday at Godrevy."

After all this time to be able to get away for a holiday in itself a treat, but to be able to stay in this lovely property was even better. The views from the balcony never failed to mesmerise us. The layout of the property worked with teenage kids, they had the 2 bedrooms on the ground floor and we were separated upstairs, in peace, above the kitchen, perfect. We appreciated the location, being able to walk into St Ives and not have to stress about parking, and keeping fit at the same time was a bonus, you have to not mind hills! A tiny niggle would be wishing there was more wardrobe space in the upstairs bedroom. Thank you for making it a great holiday.

Loved spending time sat on the balcony just looking out to sea :)

  • "We were 6 adults, on the listings it clearing says 4 bathrooms, the largest bedroom which was on the top floor had no bathroom or wardrobe space, they had to go down stairs to the front door to use a facility, any other bathroom was down another flight of stairs to the lower floor, they had to leave they’re clothes either in the suitcase or over a chair."

The house is in a lovely position and was otherwise well equipped.

Many thanks for your feedback and I can see that the bathroom icon was set at 4 in error but this has been corrected. The property description and summary list ,did correctly show 3 bathrooms ( one is an ensuite ). Property Owner

  • "Godrevy is in a nice location overlooking the sea with easy walking distance access to most things (10 to 15 minutes to the harbour, 10 minutes to one of the beaches)."

The house is well appointed although if you are a big into cooking it might be an idea to bring your own pans. We are considering staying at the same property next year or one of the surrounding ones.

  • "There is a lot of building work going on around the property."

Its a bit noisy during the day if you want to stay in and sit in the garden. It's okay during the evening. We think this should have been mentioned. Otherwise the property is really nice and no complaints about the house.

  • "We were very lucky with the weather for the time of year, but the view."

.. just fantastic at any time of year. The sunrise and sunsets were just breathtaking ,the steep hill to the beaches meant you have a great view all the way..and earned your treats when you got to town. The range of places to eat is second to non, from pasties to pasta St Ives has them all as well as good retailers if you enjoy cooking yourself.

  • "The cottage is advertised to sleep 6."

I paid for the cottage as a gift for my sons 21st birthday and they were terrorised by the owner on a daily basis and made to feel most unwelcome. The American family next door had children who were screaming at 5am each day and although my son did not complain the owner also did not talk to them about the children’s conduct. I was going to extend the stay as the cottage was so lovely but my son felt so picked on that he preferred to leave. The owner decided because the group were young, that they were automatically pre judged! Very poor management. My son and his friends tidied and hoovered before they left, not many people would do that.

  • "Very nice cottage with great views and perfect location for beach, walks, restaurants and shops."

Just one minor details that can be improved is the facilities for ladies to dry their hair. As is the case with 90% of rental places, there isn’t anywhere to easily plug a dryer near enough a mirror and a source of light to be able to see our handy work! Apart from that it was a great holiday place.
