  • "We've stayed in quite a few holiday lets in St."

Ives and this was by far and away the best for various reasons, the main one being the views are unbelievable. The apartment itself was very clean and decorated in a way that was stylish but cozy. It felt as though no expense had been spared even though it's a rental (e.g., sofas, cushions, bed linen, towels, coffee machine, beautiful mugs and glasses, fans in rooms, extra radios and TVs, binoculars, selection of books and magazines, board games, extra loo roll!). It didn't feel like the owners were on a money making exercise (which can be the case at a lot of holiday homes), but had, instead, really considered how to give their guests the best stay possible. We arrived to find tea bags, coffee pods, milk, biscuits and chocolate which was great after the very long journey and also great, because it made us feel welcome. All the best quality. I hate to give this place such a good review because I don't want it to be booked up - we'd like to return again and again - but it wouldn't be right not to. We loved everything about it. It's a lesson in how to run a holiday home.

Thank you for your kind words, we are so pleased to hear you enjoyed the apartment and that you would return again and again. We hope you had a lovely holiday, and we will look forward to welcoming you back again one day in the future. Kind Regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team. Property Owner

  • "Stunning property with views across all of St Ives coastline."

Property was very clean with all mod cons and high grade furnishings and bedding. We have no complaints at all, it is one of the best we have ever stayed in. Steep climbs back up the hill to the flat, which is only mins from the centre, but that is St Ives for you !

  • "Another brilliant time at Prospect."

Spotless and well equipped with fabulous views of St. Ives. The only negative thing we can mention is the seating on the mezzanine floor. The furniture is very low and difficult to access. Parking is a bonus at this property. Ann.

  • "Prospect always feels like our second home from the minute you walk in everything is just perfect."

There is no better view of the whole of St Ives all the way to Godrevy Lighthouse and beyond. The apartment has everything you could possibly need for a stay and all the equipment such as kettles and toasters are of a really good quality and everything is spotlessly clean. Lesley the housekeeper always goes above and beyond for us with a couple of phone calls before we arrive and the little extra touches such as beautiful flowers that lasted all week and a few little 'extras' as well. We were sorry not to have seen her this time as she is a lovely lady and a credit to Carbis Bay holidays. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments following your recent holiday at Prospect and we are so pleased to hear you enjoyed another wonderful stay and look forward to welcoming you back again. We also completely agree about Lesley, she’s a star! Best wishes. The Carbis Bay. Holiday Team. Property Owner

Details were great - from the nespresso machine to the two pillows of different composition on each bed - these were very much appreciated, as was the Christmas Tree and the mince pies.

Very clean, well equipped and has amazing views of St Ives. We had everything we could of asked for and more. We would definitely come back again as we were so impressed. Our only criticism would be updating the downstairs sofa and a TV in the downstairs area too. Other than that, absolutely perfect. Thanks so much.

The appartment is lovely and very well presented. The views are amazing. Lesley is a fantastic housekeeper and looked after us very well. We have booked next years stay already. I have two suggestions to make it even better; The mattress in the twin bedroom is rather lumpy! A full length mirror somewhere to ensure one doesn't go out with one's skirt caught up in one's knickers!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your wonderful feedback and comments! We appreciate it. With Kind Regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

Some of the instructions in the book were not relevant to current equipment. Great views, just remember this is partly due to being up a hill, and there are many steps to get into the property. Housekeeping staff are lovely.

Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We are thrilled to hear that you loved the property and your stay! • "We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful apartment which had such breathtaking views of St Ives, the lighthouse and our favourite beach."

. Porthmeor. Even the main bedroom had a view of the sea so a morning cuppa in bed was a treat! It was also great to have 3 balconies to catch the sun at different times of the day. We loved the mezzanine to go up to and watch TV.. not that we did very often as the view was all we needed and there’s so much to do in St Ives. It was a lovely kitchen to do some cooking but an extra frying pan, kitchen scales and tongs would’ve been useful. Godrevey Terrace is a great location being only a few minutes walk down to the beach and town. The parking is on site which is a bonus for us as we always bring too much stuff! Our only concern was the lack of recycling facilities on site. The nearest being the car park near the rugby club so we ended up taking our recycling home. We will definitely be returning to Prospect!

Dear Lynn, thank you very much for taking the time to leave feedback and comments following your stay at Prospect. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and will be returning. We can assure you that we will be looking into the recycling facilities on site, to see if this can be improved going forward. We are looking forward to welcome you back soon! • "Thank you for a wonderful stay at Prospect."

The flat is probably the best we’ve ever seen in St Ives and we’ve been coming for years! Everything is beautifully done to a really high standard and the place has everything you need for a comfortable, enjoyable stay. We loved the extra space in the mezzanine living room and of course the views are unbeatable. Three balconies was an amazing bonus too and it was fun to be able to check the surf from the bedroom. The place was spotless and we saw the housekeeper Lesley who could not have been nicer or more helpful. It was a really perfect stay. One small suggestion - the pillows were not comfortable which was a minor discomfort. It’s difficult to please everyone with pillows but none of us found these ones comfy! I was surprised and delighted by how quickly you could get to other bits of town from Godrevy Terrace having always stayed down on Portmeor or the Harbour. It took a couple of minutes to get absolutely anywhere and I carried my surf board to and from Portmeor in minutes. Perfect location and a parking spot was the icing on the cake!

Dear Mrs Turner, thank you for your lovely comments and I’m so pleased to hear you enjoyed a wonderful stay at Prospect and I agree, it really is a stunning apartment in a great location with great views. I am also pleased to advise that the Owners have noted your comments regarding the pillows and are going to replace these. Thank you again and we look forward to welcoming you back to St Ives again in the future. Kind regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

  • "Why we keep coming back to Prospect."

    1. The view to the harbour, Porthmeor, and all the way to Godrevy Lighthouse and beyond is ever changing and simply amazing. 2. It is spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could ever need. You feel really at home the moment you walk through the door. 3. Even though you no longer do meat and greets. Lesley went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We have stayed there before so she called us up for a 10 minute catch up as she had remembered we always bring our own super lightweight quilts. There were beautiful flowers in the accommodation as well as extra provisions. She also phoned us to say that Prospect was ready for us if we wanted to get in a bit early.. Lovely Lady with a heart of gold!!! 4. Having a car parking space in St Ives is a must for us as we like to travel around quite a bit. Really hope that the building work right below the property doesn't spoil the view as we hope to come back soon. The only one thing that would make Prospect better for us would be to have a TV on the downstairs lounge wall. Fortunately there is a socket/aerial down there so we brought the upstairs one down. The furniture upstairs is far too low for us to sit on but makes a great teenage crash pad!!! Thanks for another great stay.

Thank you very much for your wonderful, positive feedback. It makes us very happy to hear that you like the property so much, that you keep coming back. Thank you again for your incredibly kind words. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. Kind Regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

The apartment was beautiful, the views were second to none and we had lots of space to relax in. We were really happy with the facilities at Prospect; with a young family we found the apartment offered everything we needed and we made good use of the kitchen, washing machine, tumble dryer and iron!!! We were particularly impressed with the cleanliness of the apartment, the fresh clean linen and the luxurious towels. The location of the apartment was great, a few minutes’ walk to one of several beaches where we spent the whole holiday. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Propsect and would definitely stay there again. We would recommend the property, the location and also Carbis Bay Holidays to family and friends and in fact we already have!" S.Grimshaw
