• "Arrived at property, collected keys opened outside door and was very worried about the state the apartment was going to be the entrance was all dirty got upstairs to the door window was full of black dust opened the door and was very surprised with the interior we would book this apartment again no problem ."

  Very good ,location very good and central.Just a couple of things to take a look at kitchen floor needs attention microwave not clean inside but would book again

• "We stayed for a fortnight in the Sail Loft, it was fabulous."

  Lots of room for the four of us. Appliances and furnishings were high quality. Beds were very comfy. We very much appreciated the welcome items, thank you. Having a washing machine and drier was great. Shower and bath were lovely. Usually when I stay in a holiday apartment there is something missing that would improve the apartment, not so with the Sail Loft, it is a real home from home. We appreciated the wetsuit, beach chairs, buckets and spades, there was even hair straighteners! Sky TV and a dvd player are in the living room, all the bedrooms have TVs too, the main bedroom has Netflix, NOW TV etc. I enjoyed lovely walks to Carbis Bay each morning, then everything within St Ives was within walking distance. The restaurants were amazing! St Ives even had a visit from King Charles while we were there! We bought a Rover ticket for parking which meant we could park in all the places that we visited including St Ives. There is a Co op very conveniently situated about one minute from the apartment. We would love to come back one day. I highly recommend this apartment.

• "Very nice internally."

  However, the stairwell and access were messy with a TV Box and other unnecessary bits of 'stuff' which needed negotiating. There isn't a sea view... But otherwise, nice and very well presented.

• "Please add a vegan choice upon booking."

  Don't assume everyone consumes dairy and animal products. Dairy and animal products/ingredients left for us would best be replaced with soya. Also, games, cards / puzzles not full sets which was irritating when playing games. No laundry detergent left which was disappointing. Freezer also needs,defrosting - was iced up. Don't think we will book this flat again.

• "The security light outside the front door flashed on and off all night, every time a car passed by on the road."

  The flashing kept my daughter awake. The property info should make it clear that it is situated on a busy main road as it was very noisy with windows open at night due to the heat. Comfortable property, well equipped and good location close to the beaches, shops etc.

• "The holiday flat was lovely."

  Very spacious and thoroughly enjoyable to stay in. The king size bed was so comfortable, one of the bed I've stayed in. Lots of wardrobe space and beautifully laid out with added entertainment of games and puzzles for us to enjoy as a family. Just a couple of points to add. There were so many unexpected extras which were brilliant, but it would have been great to have known some of these in advance e.g. hairdryer and straighteners, ample amounts of fans to keep us cool and washing up accessories - dishwasher tablets and fairy liquid included. It mentioned in the booking info to bring beach towels and tea-towels, however, the property had plenty of tea towels which was very useful. A little list of what the property included would have been wonderful to know in advance. Slight issues - the TV controller in the small bedroom didn't work, the bottle opener is not easy to use as has wonky arms making opening bottles very difficult and making guests aware of the unpredictable wifi before arriving would have been a great heads up - especially as it advertised as one of the amenities included in the property. However, we had a very enjoyable stay in the Loft within the busy heart of St Ives. Thank you

• "We have stayed at the apartment twice now."

  Its lovely and spacious. I like that there are tvs in each bedroom ( bring dvds for the kids rooms as they don't have channels) it gives everyone their own space to relax. The kitchen is very well equipped, we made a few meals during our stay. The beds are very comfy. It's easy to drop luggage off outside and for food deliveries. We will have no hesitation in booking this property again. A couple of very small things for improvement, the advertised Wii hasn't worked on both of our stays and a chair in the living room could do with replacing.

  Everything we could have wanted or needed was provided, even down to the little details like miniature shampoos in the bathroom. The only thing we would have changed would be the temperature as it was sometimes quite chilly in the small room. Otherwise perfect!

• "The Sail Loft is a fabulous place to stay."

  The finishes of the property and the extras gave it a 5 star feel. I have never stayed in a rental property, that is dog friendly, that was so well put together. Bottle of champagne and sweet mince pies on arrival were a fabulous touch. The location is brilliant and instructions on how to find it were spot on. I would stay here again and again.

• "We loved staying in the Sail Loft, St Ives."

  The property was spotlessly clean and very spacious. With the mezzanine balcony overlooking the lower floor the apartment certainly had the wow factor !! Location was excellent, being within easy walking distance of the beach, shops and restaurants. Plenty of car parks available nearby too. Would highly recommend and we will definitely book to stay here again. Many thanks Sykes.... we had a fabulous holiday.

• "Regular visitors to St Ives."

  This is a busy noisy location which is unavoidable. Windows although closed, let in a lot of noise (people outside shouting, buses, cars etc). Suggest an extra layer of glass as it disturbs sleep. TV in main bedroom had no signal so unuseable. Main TV and Sky remotes are difficult to get to work. Tried replacing batteries. Althouh beds were of a big standard we found the pillows too thick making sleep uncomfortable. A choice of pillows (some thinner spares) might have helped. Shower sprays all over the floor which needs mopping up after each use. Not a big problem but you can see the effect on the flooring grout. Perhaps install another drain in the floor near the bath. Overall a good stay. Noisy nights outside around 12 am were the issue for usm Thank you.

• "This was a beautiful apartment very well maintained and clean It is in a central location on the edge of the town the only downside was it was very noisy most evenings with late night drinkers ."

  The beach is a few minutes walk from the apartment and the train station is not far.

• "The Sail Loft is very well furnished and stocked as presented in the website."

  Because of the location and the crowds in St Ives, however, our party of 4 adults did not get a decent night's sleep in the whole week and parking was a nightmare. Revellers till 1am, seagulls and joy riders on motorbikes till 5 am, bin men and construction workers from 6am till early afternoon. This is not the owner's fault, but the noise and the difficulty in parking was not a great holiday experience. The Sail Loft is great, alas the location was not.
